Must be more to this affair than meets the eye. This is a Democrat. These kinds of problems either have “no negative effect” or even a slight boost to their candidacies.

Backing your car out of a parking space without looking behind and around you is a poor decision. Buying a stock without researching it is a poor decision. A 10 year affair goes well beyond what could be described as a poor decision.

Stories like this which are potentially adverse to a liberal Democrat somehow always ONLY appear in marginal media and preaching-to-the-choir websites, while the liberal media judiciously avoids the story entirely in order not to risk harming their candidate’s re-election chances (which in this case are about 80%).
Obviously if this horny homeboy was a Republican, the “mainstream” media tribe would be all over it non-stop for the next week in an attempt to ensure his defeat to a righteous and moral Democrat.
What was in it for her to sign an NDA. Usually it will be cash. Or in my case, a business relationship where my customers protect their intellectual property. It sounds like this punk lying democrat just wanted to intimidate her without paying her a dime for her silence.
