In an announcement on Tuesday, U.S. Capitol Police said that a new regional field office would be opening up in California due to the high number of threats located in California and the Western U.S. in general.

The California field office will be located in San Francisco, with another new field office to be located in Tampa, Florida to help investigate threats in the Southeast.

Announced on the six-month anniversary of the Capitol Building being stormed by rioters, U.S. Capitol police noted that threats have been doubled from only a year ago, with most coming outside of the District of Columbia area, necessitating the new field offices.

Bombshell Report: Berkeley Nudist Who Allegedly Attacked Pelosi Is in US Illegally

A man arrested in the home invasion beating of Paul Pelosi, the husband of Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, is an illegal immigrant

Fox News journalist Bill Melugin, citing a source with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, tweeted that David DePape is in the country illegally.

The source described DePape as a “longtime” visa overstay, Melugin said.

In interviews with CNN, relatives of DePape said he grew up in British Columbia before moving from Canada to California decades ago.

KRON-TV in San Francisco reported that DePape is part of a nudist activist group in the city’s Castro district.

Some of the Berkeley resident’s neighbors reportedly describe him as a habitual drug user who exhibited symptoms of mental illness.

Critics of California’s “sanctuary state” laws pointed to DePape’s visa status as evidence of the failure of such policies.

The Democrats created this and now we have to pay for their extra security because they live in a nutball state.

Also, I saw on the Benny Show last night that the hammerer was an illegal from Canada, not that there’s anything wrong with that.

I think the Capitol Police are part of the "good" police in the minds of the left. Remember how they closed ranks around Michael Byrd after he killed Ashli Babbitt?

Police controlled by the Feds are acceptable because they are controlled by the left. Local police, who are not controlled by the left, and have to deal day in and day out with the worst of society are the ones the left wants to defund.

What we need is protection from our untrustworthy government agencies.

Agreed this funding needs to go, I’m sure if protection is needed another agency can handle it, not a private police force for Nancy. Remember she dragged her feet on funding protection for the SC.

Nancy was paranoid before the 6th and then went paranoid on steroids after the 6th. One wonders if she’ll resign after a loss on the 8th ?
