I guess that's going to be the official story. It explains Pelosi's underpants (he was sleeping), but not DePape's. It does not explain how the hammer came to be in Pelosi's hand before DePape took it away from him, but that's not a big deal. Anyone who attacks an old man with a hammer knowing that police are watching can't be particularly sane.
DePape should have no difficulty with pleading insanity. His "life partner" said that he was mentally ill.
Meanwhile, there seems to be no confirmation that DePape was a gay prostitute.
