Climate activist Greta Thunberg has said she will not pursue a career in politics - because it is too "toxic".
The Swedish teenager became a household name in 2018, after she skipped school and inspired an international movement to fight climate change.
Now 19, she says the necessary changes "will only come if there's enough public pressure from the outside - and that is something that we create".
And she never intended to become the face of a global movement.
"It's too much responsibility," Ms Thunberg said. "Sometimes I can snap. I say, 'If you think that all the hope in the world rests on burned-out teenagers' shoulders, I mean, that's not very good.'''

She was a kid when she made her initial statements. The media used her, as did the left. She has a right to find her own way. That she doesn’t want to remain in the limelight is a positive sign about her character.
I think she looks very different now. If this was not a thread about Greta, I never would have guessed this picture was of Greta.

Then why did she open her mouth about the weather at the UN if she was not into polit licks? Ahhh, the ineptitude and misguided passion of youth. Her twister page must have too many negative comments.

They could go to southern Algeria. I like to follow the weather in the Sahara. It was 120+ degrees this summer. So the winter must be delightful.

This is a great disappointment for me. Because this November my state is having an election for governor. I was going to write in “Greta Thunberg”.
