I understand that people can't bilocate and work and family may force a mail-in ballot situation. Fair enough, and that's why Plan Bs should be part of any scenario.

The problem is many people have been seduced into having Plan B, become their Plan A. It's like divorce....people used to talk, sort out their problems, and engage in hard work to stay together and honor your commitment. That was Plan A. PlanB, divorce, was a rarity. Then, progressivism took hold, hard work fell out of favor, selfishness trumped marital sacrifice, divorce became easier, and many people now call the divorce lawyer if their spouse changes the channel. Plan B, become Plan A.

We are at a similar fork in the road. Don't let progressivism wreck elections. Stick with Plan A.

I believe employers have to allow people some time off from work to vote.

Really am not sure if it’s a state or federal law.

That being said why do we have an explosion of mail-in ballots, drop boxes, etc?

We didn’t have these before, and with the exception of Florida in 2000 we knew who won the evening of an election.

The process is supposed to become quicker and more accurate as technology progresses but what we are seeing is the opposite.

I agree. Conservatives voting early are most likely tossing their votes away. I feel so bad for them and for our country.

There are so many ways for the cheating Democrats to neutralize or even offset any of our early votes. Especially mail-in votes. The USPS (who are 100% in league with the Democrats) can conspire to "lose" our votes along the way. It is very easy to watermark any ballots that go to known Republicans and even Independents.

Or they can get to the polling place where Democrats can tape the windows with butcher paper so we can't see, then substitute our votes with votes for the Democrats, while using our external envelopes to make it look like a real ballot.

So if anybody here voted early, please know that you most likely voted for the Democrats. It's up to the rest of us to get there on Election Day and vote in person.

I wish Trump pushed that sentiment. I wished he leaned on the repugnicant governors to get them to lean on whomever they needed to lean on—if needed—to make that happen.

Vote early as; they don’t know if you are Lib or Conservative in general polling places. To protect against that shortage of paper ballots in consecutive districts.

Sad but true. Election day not mail in or early voting. Stop the steal/scam/cheat.

Have they mentioned where these ballot shortages are located?

Indeed.

Being real, in person, at one time is the best way to ensure NON-banana-republic society.

Thanks, I've seen Freepers here proudly declare that they voted early. They chose convenience over their country. Unfortunately, their vote will likely count as a straight Democratic ticket and now it's up to us same-day voters to offset it.

I was hoping that my same-day vote would not have to be an offset because some conservative somewhere was too lazy to vote on Election Day. I was hoping that my same day vote would add to the margin of victory instead. But I will do my best to deliver the conservatives a victory this year on Election Day.

I fill out my mailed ballot and put it in a collection box on election day.

It is arguable that the Australian ballot was a mistake.

The old fashion way had its problems, but it was unmistakable if one was at the poll for the day if fraud was being committed. On the other hand, the Australian ballot reduced the possibility fo bribery and intimidation.

Exactly.

California definitely has this provision.

People don't like inconvenience, and the Betters have found a way to exploit that dislike with great benefit to themselves at our own cost.

Then, the Betters tried a Jedi mind trick on the flagrant abuse of mail-in balllots, telling the Little Peole that "there is no fraud here. It's a bunch of MAGA people making that claim, and they're stupids. Pay them no attention, they believe stuff like Epstein didn't kill himself."

Given that mind trick, many people will mail in their (postage paid) ballot and avoid the "inconvenience" of driving to and from the polling place, waiting in line to vote, and voting.

Personally, I LOVE voting in-person. I get to observe the whole set up, hear what actual people say in line vs read some blog or Twitter dope making up some lie, and (most importantly) make it tough for my Betters to f with my vote.

It's not hard to vote in person. But some people love living in bondage.

Absentee ballots took care of that situation just fine for many years. To paraphrase some famous Rhodes scholar, “voting by mail should be safe, secure, and extremely rare”.

We need to put it in the state constitution that the results will be counted on Election Day. Florida? No problems. Other states need to do the same. If we make it a constitutional right in each state, employers will be more flexible about their employees missing time at work to vote.

I love the in-person voting experience too. Election Day is special. I love going to the polling place and seeing other citizens drop off or cast their ballots. It is a matter of civic pride and participation in the process.
