Majority of Jews I have met over my 62 years in USA do not like anything religious Christian. In my work place, a person would recite a short Christian prayer during a retirement dinner occasion, and my Jewish colleagues would be squirming and get hot under the collar and wanted no such prayer. I am a Hindu and I had zero problem with any nice sounding prayer. My religion teaches tolerance of other religions. Which may be why so many religions began in India, and so many different religion people live in India where the Muslim population is one of the largest of any country in the world.

“Christianity” or traditional values have nothing to do with it and I suspect if all of us (I am a Christian) did not feel as if we were under constant attack by people who seek to dominate all of us and push our faith to the fringe we would more clearly see the truth.
Yes, we appreciate the intent to fight off the progressive ideology of the West and it sells well with the Russian people, but in reality he is no different than Hugo Chavez was - he has looted his country and provides a message that allows him to retain his power base. If Chavez had believed he would make more money with a MAGA message he would have been all for it.

Raskin signed the progressives’ letter asking for a negotiated peace. Then the progressives had to back down. Raskin needed a reason to justify his flip-flop. He went with the theme of the day: LGBTQ+ (with a nod to feminism and nativism and a discrete wink at racism). I don’t see a deep-seated hatred of Russia, Russian Orthodoxy or Christianity involved.
Ukraine is a cess pool of corruption and so is Washington DC. Putin, Biden, democrats, Rino republicans, Ukraine, Soros should all go pound sand. And add all the people in the WEF too!

I don’t consider Putin to be a “Christian” but I also can recognize that his opposition to the New World Order is helpful to my own interests.
However, he is NOT a nice person. Possibly one of the greediest people in the history of humanity and his ultimate downfall might be that he did not “spread the wealth” enough in his own nation. It makes him very vulnerable for a “populist” who will promise the Russian people that he will take back the wealth that Putin and his corruptocrat oligarchs have looted.
I have never understood why people like Putin and the oligarchs on both sides of the conflict are so greedy. You can live like a King with more wealth than you can ever spend and your subjects would adore you if you only siphoned off a sliver of the money and spread the rest......
Castro had this figured out in Cuba but it seems like greed with absolute power leaves most “leaders” wanting more and more.

By every measure, including church attendance, Ukraine is a much more religious "orthodox country" than Russia.

Okay, so who the hell appointed Jamie Raskin to answer on behalf of the entire country the question posed by Tucker? Oh, I know -- Tucker himself did. That is just incredibly dishonest. Tucker personally anoints this one guy as speaking for everyone who supports Ukraine, because he know that one guy's motivations would spark utrage in Tucker's target audience. Mission accomplished on that point, it seems.
And then, he rips apart this one guy, and by extension everyone who supports Ukraine because they all want to destroy an Orthodox Christian country. Because that's what motivates all of us, doncha know.
Tucker is too smart a guy to not know exactly what he is doing here, which just makes it that much worse. It is ridiculous, fraudulent, and insulting to the tens of millions of other people who support Ukraine for reasons that have nothing to do with LGBTQ crap in either Ukraine or Russia. But Tucker does it because it advances his own agenda against supporting Ukraine, and provides red meat to his target audience to boost his ratings.
He is a despicably dishonest commentator.

Doesn’t Russia have a right to its own values and culture? However the war in Ukraine turns out, that right does not change, whether a putz from Maryland likes it or not. Ukrainian Orthodox and Catholics should be on the side of Russia on the issues about which Raskin wants to wage actual war. Are they?
The only war of aggression in Ukraine is by Russia.
Try opening a Baptist church in Russia and then get back to me about the glories of their state-sponsored and state-imposed Orthodox church.
