I didn’t hear DeSantis asking about political affiliation or race during hurricane relief. Democrats did. Bullies do that.
There’s this almost universal phenomenon that’s actually pretty weird if you think about it. People want to like the people they vote for. Instead of hiring the best person for the job, they vote for someone they would like to have a beer with.
I would prefer a highly skilled SOB for my dentist, surgeon, CPA or governor to a nice guy who has a nice smile. I don’t need a politician to unite us or soothe us or broadcast a fireside chat.
