As the midterm elections quickly approach, Americans across the country are discussing their thoughts on trending policy topics with family, friends and colleagues. Just how truthful they are in those conversations, however, is now a reasonable question to consider. A new study from Populace Insights shines light on how deeply American adults are affected by social pressure to fit in, especially when it comes to hot-button political issues.
The report’s findings suggest that American popular culture, and the desire to fit into it, makes the American people look far more politically extreme than they really are. The study uses a clever methodology to measure agreement with statements that people might feel social pressure to reject, even in a private online survey. Differences between stated and privately held opinions were as high as 14 percentage points among all Americans and soared even higher among certain subgroups.
Millennials, who have spearheaded the progressive left in the last decade but recently transitioned from youthful activism to the responsibilities of parenthood, are privately much more conservative when it comes to education issues. Three-quarters privately believe parents should have more influence on school curriculums (+26 points compared to their public opinion) and have significantly more private doubts about racism and gender ideology being taught in schools.

This is why non-Woke people are biting their tongues and whispering to like-minded colleagues. Some people are even afraid to talk with family members who are Woke.

The Democrats have made it very clear:
They are “democracy” and everyone else is an enemy of the state.
Enemies of the state must be monitored 24/7 to protect “democracy”.
Any groups formed by these “enemies of the state” must be infiltrated and disrupted by any means necessary (including agents provocateurs) to save “democracy”.
Politics has now become a blatant zero sum game.
If they win we lose—there is no middle ground.

I conceal my opinion from some people because it is none of their business. I do not care to fit in. I do not intentionally seek the company of leftists. They are not my friends. Some may think so, because they are too stupid to understand my silence is not confirmation of their beliefs. They don’t realize I WILL NOT be there for them in a time of need.
Truly there is no more free speech in this country because it is mob rule coming from the left. They are a small minority. The shout you down. They mock. They set your business up to have problems. They have free speech. The rest of us do not.
That is their way. It is going to take a long time to undo this. I worry about the younger generations where as they don’t have the principles of the country instilled in them because of pop culture and the TV. When the history books look back I think that maybe genx is the last American generation where as everything since has been this hyper socialized indoctrinated. As for my kid we took her out of the public school system and that was the only way to escape this.

Heck, it’s not just the Democrats. Look at the divisive topics here on FR. If one says the wrong thing, they are called all sorts of names, and accused of being evil incarnate.
We had better figure out how to wage war with the Woke collective before they get stronger. So far, we are failing to even grasp the nature of the enemy we are facing.
It is a mass formation, similar to what formed in Germany in the late 1930s. All it lacks right now is a powerful leader.
If a liberal is invited into my house they do not discuss their political beliefs because they know they will be thrown out.
Once some of these leftist tools find out you aren’t on their side you have to protect yourself because many are just freaking crazy and can make your life hell.
Last RAT I tried to talk to had no interest is policy, all she could talk about is Trump false pussy grabbing and how dumb she though religion was and how wonderful RATs are at infrastructure fixing. That was it.
That was the last time I talked to a RAT about politics. You don’t need to because you already know all that they care about.
My wife and I attend the occasional festival in soviet western North Carolina. At an herb festival, you will see signs at some vendors’ tables proclaiming ‘love’ and ‘tolerance’ for all. I remarked to my wife that I should wear a ‘Trump 2024’ t-shirt to one of these festivals just to see how far that love and tolerance extends...
