Mr. Musk going full Genghis. Sort of sucks for these soon to be ex-employees to have to find work for a real company worried about costs instead of a monopoly. I always scratch my head how Twitter even needs 7,500 employees. The place must be filled with do nothing positions. There is a now a notorious video of some employee of one of these tech monopolies. She did not do one minute of actual work. She just drank her free lattes and attended meetings. The story is the tech companies scumming to pressure from race baiters and f3minists, hire blacks and women just to look more "diverse" with those people not required to do any actual work.

...however, the ones who show up for work and actually DO something can stay.

Don’t worry, little Commies. You’ll be able to afford the economic catastrophe that you and your pals have inflicted on us. Just follow the advice of your Dear Leader, and buy a different brand of raisin bran.

He will keep the 20% who actually do most of the work and lay off the rest. This is typical in any merger or acquisition. Yet most politicians and others don’t seem to understand that. Twitter was a very bloated company as to employees and needed a shakeup and Musk did that.
All of these Stanlinist Liberals crying about Free Speech being destroyed, etc., are way beyond pathetic. Yet most will not ever leave as they have no other place to go that has the exposure Twitter does.

And just think of all the money Musk will save which can be distributed to socially correct causes. I’m sure the employees will back him, even if they are on food stamps.

I wonder what that cost each employee...

I find this news quite gratifying :-))

The proper thing to do is the massive non-productive/counter-productive weed-out that Musk will do........
The SAME thing that should be done at all levels of Government, which would save Trillions of Taxpayer dollars. Placeholder jobs for favored friends, and arbitrary "New World Order" rewards to the backers/funders of politicians must be eliminated, in a proper do-over of government interference with the lives of We The People.

I believe it is called “quiet quitting”.

In the video, I got the impression she was not making a conscious effort to avoid work but her position involved zero meaningful responsibility.
