Russia announced Saturday that it will immediately suspend its implementation of a U.N.-brokered grain deal that has seen more than 9 million tons of grain exported from Ukraine during the war and has brought down soaring global food prices. ...

The Russian declaration came one day after United Nations chief Antonio Guterres urged Russia and Ukraine to renew the grain export deal, which was scheduled to expire on Nov. 19. Guterres also urged other countries, mainly in the West, to expedite the removal of obstacles blocking Russian grain and fertilizer exports.

The U.N. chief said the grain deal — brokered by the United Nations and Turkey in July — helps "to cushion the suffering that this global cost-of-living crisis is inflicting on billions of people,” his spokesman said.

On October 29, the Ukrainian armed forces, under the cover of a humanitarian corridor created as part of the implementation of the “Black Sea initiative” for the export of Ukrainian agricultural products, launched massive air and sea strikes using unmanned vehicles against ships and infrastructure of the Russian Black Sea Fleet at the naval base in Sevastopol.

Under the cover of a grain deal, ammunition was delivered to Ukraine through the ports of Greater Odessa.

Thanks, Cathi, you'd think the Uke Nazis were getting advice from American Democrats, CIA or Limey MI6.

Or maybe Orders rather than advice.

“alleged Ukrainian drone attack Saturday against Russia’s Black Sea Fleet ships moored off the coast of occupied Crimea “
Ukrattacks and damages missile frigates that were firing on Ukraine.

And Russia complains?

This stop is Putin’s fault

And Russia complains?

Nope, Russia identifies the culprit, and the consequences.

This stop is Putin’s fault

Again, Nope, Ukraine screws up, as usual.

I suspect the Ukrainians still have much more grain than that from this years harvest, ready to ship.

The Ukrainian grain harvest estimate for 2022 was 41 million tons. That was as of April this year. What with the war, it probably came to quite a lot less, but still a vast number.

So just how are the Ukies going to get it out? Since the Ukies attacked the Russian fleet guaranteeing safe shipment, and now have cancelled due to the attacks- what next?

Russia identifies the culprit — you mean Russia has realized that Putin is the culprit who started the war?

Ukraine targeted Russian military missile ships that were attacking Ukraine. These were damaged or destroyed.

Now Russia tries to pull out its old “food blackmail” trick - as it’s “energy blackmail” and “nuclear threat blackmail” are failing

Well, if Russia is failing then you Uke Nazis have no worries.

On the other hand, if Russia doesn't fail then you've got a lot of worries.

Interestingly, the Russian fleet “guaranteeing safe shipment” was protecting the grain ships from ... the Russians?

This is the same logic as a mafia protection racket, where businesses are “protected” from the mafiosi.

The Ukrainians have gotten a lot of it out via shipping - the aforesaid 9million tons. Plus they have been shipping grain into Europe by rail and truck which they also do normally. After all, all those railcars and trucks have to go back with something.
