No, that was Russia AND China. China was not supplying AKs, 130mm artillery, SAM systems, MIG 21s T-55 tanks etc and etc. At the time China was unable to supply this stuff. That, plus commodity aid that came straight from Russia, is why mining Haiphong harbor was such a big deal. Also note that Russian ships used to sail right by the US 7th fleet, into Haiphong.

Western weapons include a lot more than US weapons btw. In actual numbers the bulk of military aid Ukraine is getting is ex-soviet designs from Eastern Europe and elsewhere, and also newly manufactured ammo from these countries.
“Western weapons” in Ukraine are actually few in number but very important due to their capabilities.

The corrupt Russian government is trying to up end the more corrupt Ukrainian government and our participation is not to the benefit of the U.S.. Enriching our oligarchs is not in our national interest.
Your medical and educational and financial industries are vastly more lucrative sources of political graft and oligarchic revenues than this little war. But I have never seen anyone in the US get worked up by them. And certainly not in FR.
