They really seem to think knocking people off Twitter makes them disappear. Because anything outside the bubble does not exist. right?
Racist = Anything a liberal disagrees with

El Oh El.
What percentage of the actual U.S. population is on Twitter, and would actually be harmed by some of these alleged “racist” tweets?
There may be a few conservative racists, but I suspect 99% of these posts are by Leftists trying to embarrass Musk.
Kudos to JimRob and the mods here having got it right on FR for decades: a clear and enforced policy against racist posts, but enough leeway to discuss topics that aren’t always popular—or allowed elsewhere.
First, define racist.
False flags, of course.
Some people are going to spew hate. Better to know who they are.
If we stipulate that there are “bad” tweets circulating on Twitter, how is that different than providing rights for the accused, KNOWING that the price of such rights is some guilty men walking free?
If lefties don’t like it, they can go on Facebook or something.
Do you have a non-paywalled link to these “racist” tweets?
I am entirely capable and free of ignoring Twitter content I don’t like, or don’t agree with. No one is going to be convinced of an idea because of what they read on Twitter, unless they are already Cuckoo-for-cocoa-puffs. I don’t need Twitter-nerds to be my content filter.
Someday even the fools at the Washington Post will realize much of liberal ‘speech’ is hate speech.

It’s not what you say, it’s how you say it.
Oh noes! The take away is the WaPo opposes unrestricted free speech. WaPo supports censorship.
The self appointed elite have taught generations now how to be weak, be vulnerable and to lack resilience in the face of WORDS FROM STRANGERS.
They’re taught how to be, to think, to react like victims confronted with words from strangers. And not even up front language, but to be paranoid and hyper alert for “micro aggressions.”
This is not healthy for them and not healthy for society. How can diverse people live in peace and prosper if they are taught to be suspicious of others (Blacks seeing all whites as closet racists) and be suspicious of themselves?
The pressure from financially motivated activists have Whites seeing themselves as privileged, personally guilty and responsible for evils hundreds of years ago based on their skin tone, and feeling they can never bond with Blacks because the Black community will always see them as secret racists not as judge them as individuals. There’s no personal responsibility only victim shaming.
“unrestricted free speech could fuel a new wave of online hate”. I would say that Wapo and NYT have spewed more than their fair share of online heat without restriction for the last several years.
odd since no code changes have been made yet...
