Twitter is the linchpin in the government’s censorship of social media. When the platform self censors the government censors generally only provide guidance. The regime can’t stand the disinfecting sunlight of a “Free Speech Twitter”. I assume DC will now start the direct federal censorship of Twitter.

A Twitter that allows NY Times stories about Hershel Walker paying for abortions *and* NY Post stories about Hunter’s laptop is fine with me.

I must have been banned by Twitter at least 20 times through the years. There was nothing more frustrating than reading utter crap posted by the left and being unable to confront them on it, they ticked me off so much.

If Twitter self-censored before and no longer does, what gov’t mechanism exists to force them?

Twitter is the linchpin in the government’s censorship of social media.

Musk’s purchase of Twitter will be the linchpin in creating a super app similar to the Chinese app WeChat.

It will be a social app on steroids. Musk has stated his admiration for WeChat which, in addition to providing 24/7 surveillance data to the Chinese government, is the leading cashless payment system in China.

”Free speech Twitter” is a disingenuous way to get people on board with fully embracing the digitization of human behavior. There is nothing “free” about it.

What Elon Musk has said publicly — and in private texts — about X, his idea for an 'everything app'

Nice that the pompous ass former produce manager approves of an actual journalist.

The Federal Elections Commission, and it’s enablers are a bigger threat to Free Speech, than Twitter could ever be.

Should those who put up posters against King George during the American Revolution, been required to register with the government, because the “public has a right to know who pays for political speech”?

Should those in Russia who post anti-Putin posters, be required to register with the state, because the public has a right to know who pays for political speech.

Twitter does not have the power to confiscate your property and put you in jail. The FEC / Federal Government does. Ask Dinesh D’Souza.
