Pandering. Big cities are jokes. They don’t give a damn about competency.
Well here comes the demise of FDNY another hire done because of race or gender NOT because of qualifications!!
Only $40 grand? What a piker.
Typically they have Suburbans or Tahoes or Explorers.
60 grand these days.
Yet the past five FDNY commissioners had extensive prior experience with the FDNY and/or NYPD before becoming FDNY commissioner, including fighting fires.
And i only went back and looked at the previous five
See my Post 10
Agreed - but that was about 12 years ago; now it would be at least $60 grand.
“ A woman doesn’t belong in the fire department, much less head of it.”
Call me sexist but I can list a few places where women don’t belong, one of them being the captain’s seat of a commercial airplane. Another, and a pet peeve, is watching a woman conduct a major symphony orchestra where nearly all performers are men. YouTube keeps pushing these videos to my feed.
Not so...Daniel DiNegro held the position for 8 years and came up through the ranks. Joined the FDNY in 1969. They’ve now made it totally political.
A WHITE woman. Adams is a racist. Then again. How do we know she is a woman?
Is Mayor Adams a biologist???
The only way a white woman gets hired is if she’s a lesbo.
Sounds like a well qualified career bureaucrat Not one day of a real job
(Okay, I’m just kidding. I guess I’m in trouble with the feminists, again.)
Very happy that all my FDNY friends are retired. ‘Though I’m certain this does not please them at all, at least they’re not forced to serve under this travesty.
She has a vagina, that’s all that matters.
she’s never been a fireman...this is totally political. the guy before her started with the nyfd in 1969...came up through the ranks and held this positoin for 8 years before retiring. wonder who she sleeps with...schumer...
Ain’t that the truth....
Not saying it's the case for what you've seen but the critical biological component of a symphony conductor is the depth of hearing. If she's got it, good for her.
Granted, a good orchestra that's well practiced can make any conductor shine. It matters much less who's conducting opening night - who was conducting during all the practices?
2018 article on her
Exactly! Only 8 years on the job.
