Police said David Depape violently assaulted Paul Pelosi around 2:30 a.m. Friday. Authorities arrived at the home for a “priority well-being check” and found the two men tussling over a hammer. Depape then grabbed control of the hammer and used it to attack Pelosi.

This whole incident stinks to high heaven. How did the assailant get in the house? At 2:30 AM? And the authorities did a well-being check in the middle of the night?!

None of that makes sense for sure. And that house doesn't have max security?? Or was he so drunk or stupid...that he never set the alarm.

By the fact that Paul appears to be a person that likes to drink in the early hours of the morning, based on the time of his recent DUI accident, who is to say that he wasn't up drinking with this guy at 2:30 in the morning, and DePape got miffed about something, and clobbered Pelosi with an object. Article says it was a hammer, but they had the Beltway snipers as white, driving a white van, and they described George Zimmerman as a white Hispanic.

Paul Pelosi appears to have a lot of drama in his life, most of it created by himself. I'd like to know how this guy supposedly broke into a home that more than likely has 24 hour security coverage with cameras, along with paid guards on the site. Pelosi has more than likely pissed off a lot of people he's done business with over the years, and would make sure he had adequate security at all of his homes. How convenient that Nancy's husband gets "assaulted" eleven days before the midterms. The timing is suspicious, as is the whole scenario they are offering. Democrats love portraying themselves as victims.
