British Foreign Secretary James Cleverly triggered a barrage of criticism Wednesday for telling soccer fans to “be respectful” of Qatar’s anti-LGBTQ culture when the World Cup kicks off there next month.
Cleverly, a member of the ruling Conservative party, said on LBC Radio that he has spoken to Qatari authorities about how gay fans will be treated. He said the Qatari authorities are aware “they are going to have to make some compromises” with regard to their “very different set of cultural norms.”

I’m in my 40’s and in excellent shape. My last trip I hiked all over Iceland.
Maybe I’ll look into Jordan.
I still have Switzerland on my list as well.
Specifically Zermatt and Lucerne.
I think there was a riot in Birmingham (not Alabama) where the Hindis and Mooslims fought each other over a soccer match played in Pakistan. Different continent!

The logical result of “diverse and inclusive” is that everyone will have to tolerate every kind of base behavior...or face a law suit, cancellation, and termination from employment.
Funny...I have a Celtic jersey! It’s great to wear on St. Patricks day!
It was actually a cricket match, not soccer - and in Dubai, not Pakistan. Cricket has a quasi-religious status in both India and Pakistan.
