Kerry: ‘Big, Powerful Economic Interests’ Will Be ‘Critical’ on Climate with Things Like ESG
Breitbart ^ | 10/27/2022 | IAN HANCHETT

Posted on 10/27/2022 5:47:31 AM PDT by ChicagoConservative27

On Wednesday’s broadcast of CNN International’s “Amanpour,” Special Presidential Envoy for Climate John Kerry stated that “big, powerful economic interests” will play a crucial role in fighting climate change and business will play an “absolutely critical” role, and you see this with things like ESG.

Host Christiane Amanpour said that while there are entrepreneurs and personal action on climate, “we’re told over and over again that that is not enough, it’s big governments, important governments, small governments who have to actually do it to make it stick.”

Kerry responded, “Well, it’s not just big governments, Christiane, it’s big, powerful economic interests. Where you have governments controlling and providing incentives, you can make a lot happen. But the private sector will play an absolutely critical role here. In fact, I think, in many ways, it’s going to be the private sector moving on these new technologies and also living up to its corporate stakeholder responsibility. You have CEOs all around the world now, in the context of their boardrooms and the ESG requirements that they’re trying to live up to who are making commitments about getting to net zero by 2050 or by 2030, doing things that would’ve been unheard of before. We need greater finance on the table to help less developed countries be able to transition to clean energy. And we need it to be able to help the rest of the world be able to reduce the emissions and deploy the renewables and the alternative forms of energy.

being an orthodox Jew, one of the most forbidden acts a Jew can do is idol worship. There are literally hundreds upon hundreds of pages and “laws” regarding idol-worship. known as avodah zara in biblical hebrew which literally means “foreign/strange/abnormal service/work/performance”

during talmudic studies we are often asking ourselves “how on earth did people just sit around and worship idols?” It’s like something we just can’t relate to in todays age.

Yet here we are, in the climate change era, a complete and total avodah zara. It might not be a physical backyard fountain type of idol, but ultimately this nonsense will end as quickly as it started.

“it’s big governments, important governments, small governments”

Yep, Goobermints always want more power.
Grifters gotta Grift.
But that’s the same thing . . .

Lyin’ Lurch has a bigger individual Carbon Footprint than many small towns.

“New technologies”

Name three.

You can’t power modern civilization on wind and solar. What Kerry and the Dems are pushing is going to result in people freezing in the dark, a crash of the economy to make 2008 look like a cakewalk, and more kickback graft operations like Solyndra.

Politicians are way out of their league when it comes to interpreting science, so much so that it take politicizing the crises and playing off the rogues and sycophants in the scientific leftwing.

There is real science and real science isn’t this knee jerk approach. Nor does real science beat that square peg into the round hole on the backs of the taxpayers.

In my mind, ESG = China's social credit score. It is antithetical to liberty.

Johnny Kerry served in Vietnam and got a purple heart for shooting himself in the ass with a M-79 Grenade Launcher.

Big, powerful economic interests” will play a crucial role in fighting climate change.

Isn’t that what they were fighting against in the first place OH WAIT it’s ok if we get on the money train.

The entire thing is a scam from the get go.

To be a progressive may be defined by how they confuse the ability for scientific and economic advancement by means of technological development with the ability for social, political and even moral advancement.

Progressives inherently trend towards magic thinking that these latter can and ought to be changed, “progressed”; however, each step up the ladder becomes vastly harder to achieve improvement and any potential for that improvement is unrelated to science and technology in particular.

This magical thinking makes progressives less able to cope with dynamic systems like society etc, pushing even early wrong headed notions into ever more bizarre and, to be blunt, now demonic attitudes
