And another thing, advertising money is fleeing the Facebook platform due to the aging demographic there.

Advertisers are taking their money to where the kids are.

Advertisers don’t sell to kids. They sell to that “aging demographic” you describe.

The advertisers are fleeing because they’ve finally figured out that Facebook’s statistics about its users are a total fraud.

I suspect some insiders saw Zuck as easily manipulated and sold him on this company change from a year ago. He’s going to be ‘let go’ before the end of 2022, with new management brought in.

I am almost 60. I just signed up for FB a few years ago. What I use it primarily for is the groups on the platform.
FB Marketplace has replaced Craigslist for buying and selling local “stuff”. This is because you can pull up the profile of the person you are potentially doing business with. This eliminates most of the scammers, etc.
I also use it for local town pages.

I have personally sold six pickup truck loads of firewood by posting it on my local FB town page in the last couple weeks. I am advertising to people who live within 5 or 6 miles of my house.

I also am a member of a Harman Pellet stove group on FB. Anytime I have ever had an issue there is someone who has an answer/suggested remedy within an hour or less.

Many small businesses now have FB pages instead of maintaining a website. There are people who make a living just on side hussell jobs they get off of FB.

Lastly, almost all the people I have sold the firewood are MIDDLE AGED WOMEN(5 out of 6). I sell it for CASH. However, I have had two of them ask me if I take VENMO.

Street panhandlers here in Indiana are high tech too. See signs saying "hit my VENMO" + the address"

In my office we pool our money and buy lottery tickets when they Megabucks or Powerball jackpots get really big.
Almost all the twenty somethings at first wanted to pay by Venmo. So, now when the guy organizing it puts out the email the first thing he says is NO VENMO.

There are still scum bags who try to run scams off FB Marketplace though.

The ones I see all the time are items like a used Kubota tractor advertised for a lot less than what it is worth.

Same thing with a John Deere lawn mower.

IF you click on the poster’s identity, their whole history is the same post of the tractor.

Then you press the ALERT tab on the AD.

Down 30 already today.

Hilarious.

I don't know anyone who has done anything with 'meta'. Apparently no one else does either! LOL

Might be worth it to buy a few shares and sell on the bump new management might give it.
