CNBC just said that Facebook increased its employee head count by 28% in the last twelve months!

Zuckerberg is going to need a bigger security team when he goes to work tomorrow morning!

Gonna take a little longer for farmers to be using augmented reality to manage their crops. That ad make me wretch. But the little Ruthie Ginsberg is funny.

That is really good to hear. I do have a FB page. I might visit it once every couple of months if I’m looking for information on something local. I’m in a rural area so if I hear of a crime, I may check to see what information our local Sheriff has released. My FB “friends” are only the county sheriff, immediate family members and old high school buddies. It’s not something I really need to stay in touch though.

The way Google and FB works to suppress information that is negative for the left and promotes [dis]information that is critical of conservatives, should be considered a “campaign contribution” to the Democrats.

Facebook’s monetary contribution to voter registrar’s offices controlled by democrats in 2020 by funding “voter turnout” campaigns (for democrats only) should not have been allowed. Having outside companies contributing money to place drop-boxes in specific locations to boost democrat turn-out was putting a thumb on the scales in order to benefit only one side.

He has to improve the lego commodore graphics at this point. But, it will become insanely addictive once they create the vr capsules and integrate vr to the mind via Musk implant technologies. Welcome to The Matrix.

Zuckerberg spent 300m undermining elections in southern states.

Karma. It’s real. Hope the company goes bankrupt. The world would be better off.

The High was 384, so 111 is a 71% drop.

Zuck helped get Trump elected in 2016. No doubt about it. Trump ads and spread of message via facebook was a bonanza.

FB is little more than many millions of middle-aged women telling each other how beautiful they are.

Exactly. The only utility FB has for me these days is the market place to pick up free furniture that I can refinish.

I did their meta survey and gave them my opinion on how useless a virtual reality is when it will cease to exist when the civilization that enables it falls apart.

Re: "384"

Wow - Thanks for the correction. Someone needs to tell CNBC.

I was using their "All" years chart and data because CNBC has free real time after hours quotes and volume.

My usual chart agrees with you, but it has a 15 minute delay on quotes, so I used CNBC.

There used to be a time when girls kept diaries and they were secret. Now they want everybody to see their whole lives. Pathetic really.

Trump helped Trump get elected.

If there were no FB, Trump would have used another medium.

There is no appeal for fb any longer. 10+ years ago it was new and exciting, now it’s an aged platform and tiresome.

Facebook has worked fo erode trust among its users.

Lack of advertising revenue. Apple has hurt them.

meta name is unmemorable and unrecognizable.

Metaverse concept was DOA. The technology is not mature and users have rejected AR/VR for decades.

Really not an attractive to partner with based on their products, vision, business practices, and leadership team.

at $111 it’s still overpriced - what assets do they have? Offices and some data centers full of computers that are depreciating. What assets do the produce? Data reports and advertising plans? Not much.

VR is the eternal goal that’s always just around the corner that never happens. Meta’s problem is they want VR that engages people, but people in Nairobi and Mumbai can still access from their crummy refurbished smartphones. Nobody wants a VR experience that looks worse than a PlayStation 2’s graphics from 20 years ago.
