Even CNN panel has doubts about John Fetterman: Former Pennsylvania Congressman Charlie Dent and liberal commentators raise concerns....

Charlie Dent, a former Republican congressman for Pennsylvania, said he was 'astounded' and 'stunned' by Fetterman's poor performance, while Alyssa Farah Griffin, Donald Trump's former communications director, said she found it 'painful to watch'.

Liberal commentators raise concerns about Senate hopeful's 'confused' post-stroke debate performance against Dr. Oz

John Fetterman and Mehmet Oz on Tuesday night held their one and only debate in their race for Pennsylvania Senate

Fetterman, 53, had a stroke on May 13 and referenced his condition immediately on Tuesday, calling it 'the elephant in the room' While some praised Fetterman for his bravery in participating in the debate, others - even Democrats - expressed concern David Axelrod, Obama's former senior advisor, said the debate 'did not help' Fetterman, while CNN's panel agreed that the Democrat failed to shine Chris Cuomo, host of a NewsNation show, said that Fetterman 'struggled' and his fitness for office was 'going to be on the table'

John Fetterman's debate performance on Tuesday night was greeted with dismay by many of his sympathizers - with a CNN panel widely panning the Democrat hopeful Chris Cuomo saying he 'struggled' and Barack Obama's former senior adviser saying Fetterman 'did not help' his cause.

Fetterman, 53, had a stroke on May 13, and has fought to regain his strength, telling voters that he was making great strides but was still suffering some lingering speech and auditory impediments.

In advance of the debate - the only one for the Pennsylvania Senate race - Fetterman's campaign had tempered expectations, saying there would be 'awkward pauses' and 'delays and errors,' because the Democrat would be reading closed captioning due to his auditory processing issue.

Incumbent lieutenant governor, Fetterman had likely hoped for some support from CNN's panel, but the verdict was damning.

I would like the issue being his bad polices. His policies should be front and center. Look for a come back in the future years as his physical problems subside.

3 thoughts:

1) Fetterman should have just let the lump on his neck answer the questions.

2) I’m really eager to read the transcription of Fetterman’s answers.

3) I would NOT want the job of doing that transcription!

What’s Frank Lautenberg doing these days?

Now that is the post of the day!

Actually the Dems only hope (besides brain dead Democrats and cheating) is for Fedderman to announce he will resign immediately after assuming office and let the Dem Governor appoint his successor. No one watching that performance can think he is capable of being a Senator but then there is Senator Hirono so he wouldn’t be the most incompetent person in the Senate.

“My boss had a Harvard Degree on his wall. One night working late I looked at his degree. It was one of those mail in Masters in Business programs, looked nice though.”

1982 or so I knew a guy who was a restaurant manager at a natural foods place. He went to the Harvard Business school via its night time classes. In person obviously. His trajectory headed upwards. He also met the right people, once he had those Harvard B-School credentials. And not mere credentials, but a solid education, in my book. He knew how to hustle and make himself useful.

He’s prolly worth some millions by now.

His doctor’s report must be terrible if he refuses to show it after that disaster.

Last night people were talking about how bad he looked in his suit because it didn’t fit him well. I should’ve commented then, but didn’t, that he looked a lot better in his loose-fitting suit than he does in those loose-fitting sweatshirts he wears most of the time. Even though he is a TERRIBLE candidate, the suit was an improvement.

Poor Pennsylvania. I think they’re screwed either way, but Oz is definitely the better choice.

While some praised Fetterman for his bravery...

Horrible people for doing this to a person.

"This doofus has a master’s in public policy from Harvard’s Kennedy school, but that’s always been a pretty phony program. It’s not like going to Harvard College for undergraduate or Harvard Law School. Look it up. It’s generally believed that master’s in public policy accepts most people who apply for it (i.e., well above 50% acceptance rate). the students pay big bucks to screw around for a year or two allegedly learning about public policy” but really just buying a Harvard degree."

Nailed it perfectly. Georgetown's MPP program is exactly the same.
