Intellectually more difficult?
Sure. I remember reading a number of years ago how police departments would give something like an intelligence test and not hire someone who scored too high, because that meant they’d likely get bored and quit before the cost of their training had been recouped.
Considering the long periods of mindless boredom and the endless petty tyranizing organizational politics that one has to endure as a LEO that would appear to be a sensible approach.
