Val Demings Says It’s Harder To Be a Politician Than a Police Officer Florida Dem Senate nominee has centered her campaign on her ex-cop status
It's much harder to be a politician than a police officer—at least if you ask Florida's Democratic Senate candidate Val Demings.
"You know, after 27 years as a law enforcement officer, there's no doubt that's a tough job, that's a hard job, no doubt about it," said Demings, a former Orlando police chief. "But being in elected office—that's a whole ‘nother level, y'all."
Demings's remarks came at a rally Saturday in Pensacola and are likely to anger Florida's law enforcement community, particularly given that Demings enjoys an array of perks as a congresswoman that she did not receive as a police officer.

Liberals spread ridiculous lies in hopes their ignorant supporters let them remain in power.
The wife and I early voted early today, Duval County has a new voting system, previously it was a fill in the bubble for your preferred candidate type of system, today it was a touch screen push button type of system.
I was surprised by the traffic of people; it was very busy the entire time we were there.
Of course. Head to congress broke come out a billionaire spending other peoples money.
You should move to Clay or St Johns...
Imagine having to work with politicians all day.
To be honest, we own a Condo in Putnam County, right on the river, even though it’s much more expensive now than 5 years ago, I would sell our house in Jacksonville and Condo in Putnam County and buy a house on the river in Putnam County or buy property and build a house and live out my life in the country.
Outside of Palatka?
BTW re her anti-Rubio ads...she has focused more on abortion than on crime...
Welaka actually.
Had to look that one up...
Boat ramp, bait store, and tennis court right together.
Hey! It's hard to keep all those lies straight. You have no idea. Sometimes you have to lie about the lie, so as to unlie it for the next bigger, big lie.
Launched our boat from that ramp many times.
Looks relaxing.
The wife is a city girl and loves the proximity to restaurants and grocery stores, otherwise I would live down there, buy or build a house on a couple of acres and not have neighbors all that close, NO HOA fees, etc.
Indeed
She should stay in her own lane.
I have no doubt that running for office is a lot worse than a hard job. I would hate the job, and I have delivered drywall, hung drywall, mudded and tapes drywall for a living. I would rather do any of the above, before running for office.
Once elected, it would be a blast and a privilege to blow peoples minds in the manner of MTG. I would love to live up to the power of personality and pit bullishness she brings to DC.
