Alaska GOP Censures Mitch McConnell For Meddling In Race Between Two Republicans
The Federalist ^ | 10/24/2022 | TRISTAN JUSTICE

The Alaska GOP formally censured Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell over the weekend for the Kentucky lawmaker’s interference in the Arctic Senate race between two Republicans.

On Monday, the state Republican central committee announced the results of an overwhelming vote to admonish the national party leader over attack ads against Kelly Tshibaka, the candidate endorsed by the Alaska GOP who is challenging incumbent Sen. Lisa Murkowski. The final vote came to 49-8 in favor of a resolution censuring McConnell and the minority leader’s Senate Leadership Fund (SLF) which has pumped more than $5 million into the race to defend a key McConnell ally in the upper chamber.

“No one from Alaska wants big shots from the Lower 48 meddling in our elections, and they certainly don’t want D.C. Republicans lying about the candidate who’s been endorsed by the Alaska GOP,” Mary Ann Pruitt, an advisor to Tshibaka, told The Federalist. “Alaska Republicans are telling Mitch McConnell to stay out of it. But this goes to show you who Lisa Murkowski is aligned with. She’s wearing the jersey of the Washington establishment of Biden, Pelosi, and McConnell, and she’s not on Alaska’s team.”

"After we destroy the Democrats - we are going RINO h**ting.

Verbiage aside in woke world, both of them are La CostraUno not "Nostra".

Like George Carlin said, "It's one big party and you ain't in it".

“Yeah, and the 80 year-old in his final term won’t give a rat’s a$$.”

Maybe, but this censor just cancelled out all of his advertising spend. This is a terrible look for Murkowski and a ton of advertisement for her opponent.

Mitch just threw his (someone else’s) money away.

I live in Alaska. The pro-Murk anti-Tshibaka campaign is getting tiresome. The national GOP is spending a ton of money on mailers and advertising. It looks like desperation. The 🗑 at the post office is overflowing with their junk mail.

Pray for Mitch’s removal - he’s what? 83 or something? Can’t last forever.

That’s the problem! It’s folks like him that just never go away or die, like Soros, Pelosi, Mitch, and I could go on.

Doesnt this info get into the news in Alaska. I suspect the actual donations weren’t widely known but once the local state GOP gets involved in a censure motion, the story should get enough publicity to overcome the paid ads. And work against the current Senator.

A lesson in HOW Washington corrupts for power and money. The Alaska GOP see’s an issue with a current Alaska Republican and takes concrete steps to remove her by endorsing and promoting someone else. Deep State says “Wait a minute here...”

And that right there is why people need to run for these party positions.  It's a pain.  It takes time away from work and family.  But taking back the Republican party from the DC swamp begins with your local county commitee, and runs through the state committees.  The path is there if we want to take it.

“Really? Is that how that works?”

Confused on what you don’t understand? You spend money (millions) to make a candidate look good. After the spend, a news story comes out that State Republican Party hates the interference of Washington Establishment Goons that paid for her recent ads. That Republicans should not allow out of state pols to interfere in State Elections.

The bad publicity and hatred of the establishment easily cancels out the feel good ads she received from Mitch.

The guy is so sold into his elite status, he works to override the votes of his own party because he doesn’t like their candidate. Amazing way to run an asylum.

In the 1990s (1995 to 2000) I was a member of my hometown GOP. In 1998, I decided to run for town council. At the time, my hometown was a swing town. I came in 5th in the vote with the GOP holding on to 3 seats, the Dems took 6 seats. The guy who was running for mayor could make Biden look intelligent.

That year, my girlfriend's boys helped us campaigning. They were 12 and 8 and they had fun. My girlfriend broke up with me after the election - our political differences (I was a R, she was a Clinton supporter). Her kids turned out as Republican.
