'BIG MISTAKE!': Trump drops Truth bomb after DeSantis endorses GOP candidate he disavowed
Washington Examiner ^ | Updated Oct 23, 2022, 11:58 PM | Daniel Chaitin

President Donald Trump fired off a foreboding Truth on Sunday night, reacting to a Washington Examiner exclusive that Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) is recording a robocall for a Republican candidate whom Trump has rejected.

That candidate is Joe O’Dea, the underdog Senate contender in Colorado who is trailing Sen. Michael Bennet (D-CO) in public opinion polls and last week made waves when he vowed to "actively campaign against" Trump and spoke favorably of other party heavyweights, including DeSantis.

Sharing the article written by Washington Examiner senior political correspondent David Drucker on his Truth Social platform, Trump added a brief message. "A BIG MISTAKE!" Trump said in all capital letters.

I find this most disturbing. DeSantis is my Gov and he’s been great at it. However, I have noticed right along that he remains very silent about anything Trump, pro or con, and that silence was worrisome to me. Now your #48 tells me info that I hadn’t heard about, and this bothers me even more.

I’m now looking at DeSantis with new eyes, and I don’t like what I am seeing. In particular because I really don’t like the wishy washy RINO running in Colorado, O’Dea. Reminds me too much of a cross between Jeb Bush and Mitt Romney, both staunch anti-Trumpers. I don’t want another anti-Trumper in Congress, especially as it’s almost a guarantee that he will ally himself with McConnell and vote RINO more often than not.

I have noticed Desantis is stand offish towards Trump. Desantis is a loser IMO. We need another horse to ride after Trump’s next Presidency. We need a MAGA person in ‘28. <p.ottom line: DESANTIS BLEW IT. My establishment hack radar is going off whenever I see Desantis.

I agree the info in post 48 makes it look like he’s gone RINO, either under pressure or promises for the future. I’ll be watching him more closely now.

If DeSantis were smart, he would endorse and record ads for every Republican Senate candidate today. That way his O’Dea endorsement doesn’t look like he’s gone to the Never Trump.

Nevertheless, would you rather have the RINO O’Dea or the seat to remain Democrat? And if there truly is a Red Wave, this tempest will be moot.

You are correct..

Ask why that is..

Time to repeal the 17th Amendment and eliminate the Senior Executive Service.

Our Founding Father’s were not stupid!

Trump needs to GROW UP and SHUT UP!!! Donald....you do NOT have to express EVERY DAMN THOUGHT in your head!!

We NEED as many Republican Senators as possible!!

You need to educate yourself before you give in to your next urge to spew such nonsense.

The last thing we need is another member of the Romney/Collins/T Scott/Murkowski, et. al wing of the GOP Senate who will work to fulfill the vision of their leader ---- the globalist, anti-conservative, America last Mitch Connell.

A Repubican House will slow, if not stop, the Biden/McConnell legislative agenda ---- because the new Republican members in the House will insist on it.

Don't be angry with Trump because DeSantis has chosen the wrong side.

O’dea is a RINO’s RINO who has persistently attacked Trump ... he’s got zero chance of being elected because the Dems all naturally hate him and he’s persistently antagonized and alienated Colorado conservatives ... we voted straight R except for o’dea ... wrote in Donald J. Trump instead ...

o’dea would simply be another murkowski or romney ... someone the fascist left propaganda organs could have on every day to attack conservatives ...

Good going, O’Ding Dong. Actively campaigning against Trump in 2024. The only reason to vote for a one-worlder like you is because Bennett is likely a Communist.

DeSantis needn’t have besmirched himself by recording that robo-call.

o’dea didn’t “go” RINO ... he’s been that from day one ...

O’dea is a RINO’s RINO who has persistently attacked Trump ... he’s got zero chance of being elected because the Dems of blue-state Colorado all naturally hate him and he’s persistently antagonized and alienated Colorado conservatives ... we voted straight R except for o’dea ... wrote in Donald J. Trump instead ...

o’dea would simply be another murkowski or romney ... someone the fascist left propaganda organs could trot out every day to attack conservatives ...

Yep, he’s a good governor, and I expect him to continue being one next year, but this evidence just stiffens my resolve to pick Trump in the 2024 primary if he runs. I already decided on that after the Mar-A-Lago raid, but the last person I want in the White House is another seemingly good governor (like one George W. Bush) who suddenly turns into an open-borders establishment turkey once he gets in.

Alberta’s Child kept trying to warn us. I simply didn’t believe it, but he is apparently right, and I will, however reluctantly, tip my hat to him for that.

It’s not O’Dea’s fault that Trump lost Colorado in a landslide and is disliked there.

In order to win, O’Dea needs to win over alot of Biden voters. He’s trying to do that but is very clumsy about it and is alienating some Trump voters.

Why don’t we just endorse Democrats and have a solid Democrat majority in the Senate? This is stupid. The margins are razor thin. Trumps ego is more important than a conservative government.
