In 2020-21, when public schools in CA were closed, I attended ELEVEN events to protest: 7 reopen school rallies, 2 reopen sports rallies, and 2 signature gathering events to recall my school board. Not to mention many emails to my school board, County, etc. I pulled my teens from public school in summer of 2020 (one to private and one to homeschooling). Don’t tell me there was no “national conversation.” Many of us moms were screaming, daily, about it—and working to fight it. Alas the CA Teachers Union had the upper hand.
The “National Conversation” was largely blocked on everything from Google to Nextdoor to Twitter to Facebook to LinkedIn.
