The other day I saw a video of a bunch of black women claiming that white women lose weight faster when they are on diets while black women remain fat on the same diet. I guess their argument is that dieting is “racist”. I also saw a program on PBS which claimed that computers are also “racist”.

A quick wander around the web finds that obstetric hemorrhage (OBH) occurs mostly as post-partum hemorrhage (PPH), and PPH is on the rise across developed countries. Two studies I found showing increased rates are from Norway and New Zealand which, last I checked, have fewer blacks between them than the average NFL squad.
What is increasingly seen as a determining factor is obesity. Do the math on that and you come up with not equal to racism.

The first question that come to mind is ‘what is the general health of the individual just prior to entering the hospital” ie. obesity, existing untreated conditions, genetic predispositions, etc etc.
