Exclusive Europe will respond to Russia's nuclear strike if it is struck – Latvian Defense Minister
Latvia condemns countries that do not provide Ukraine with military and technical assistance in the fight against Russia. This was stated by Latvian Defense Minister Artis Pabriks in an exclusive interview with the Present Time within the framework of the Riga Conference. He believes that a clear position and assistance to Kiev now will determine alliances and cooperation between European countries in the future.
Pabriks, in particular, accused those countries that do not count on Ukraine's victory in this war of betraying the ideals of the EU and NATO: "Morally, Ukraine has already won, psychologically, it has already won.
Now victory is a technical issue and the question of how quickly other states of the world will understand that the only outcome of this war can be the victory of Ukraine. And we know that not all states, even in Europe, think and say so, but this position of the member states of the European Union and NATO is very close to betrayal," the minister said.
"It's not a bluff." Latvian Defense Minister on the possibility of Putin using nuclear weapons
Commenting on the changing nature of the war, which has shifted from fighting to the destruction of the civilian infrastructure of Ukraine, Pabriks said that this does not change the position of Ukraine's allies. Even if Russia decides to use nuclear weapons against Ukraine, the West will not stop helping it to fight aggression. Pabriks added that European countries would respond to such a possible strike.
Artis Pabriks is taking part in the annual Riga Conference on Security and Foreign Policy, the main topic of which this year was the war in Ukraine. Currently, he is an information partner of the conference and conducts several special broadcasts from this event.
The conference discusses strategic cooperation at the regional and pan-European level, the new strategic concept of NATO, the hybrid threat from Russia and other countries, as well as economic sanctions.

Does it mean we have to expect a false flag in between Midterms and G20 summit?
*yawn*
Where all them endless articles of Ukraine ‘is winning’ being spammed within FR at?
Latvian Defense Minister huh?
How many nukes does Latvia have?
Russia has a massive 6,000+ super powerful nukes, the most powerful on the planet.
How does little ole Latvia propose to counter all that?
He shouldn't say anything. Let the Americans do the talking because they're the ones protecting the Baltics with their nuclear umbrella.
Getting a little “boy who cried wolf” from good ole UmC.
As to the the Latvian 4 reich member’s comments, I detect a subtle threat of Euroweenie action against Israel for not getting on the Ukraine bus. And wasn’t this “Hybrid threat” business, the reason the Mary Poppins was hired by the Ukrainians for and later Biden tried to make her head of a Truth Ministry. Wake up people. The EU is a competitor of the U.S. They use Nato for Euroweenieism subordination and not for the interests of the U.S in the long run. In the long run the U.S will be fighting the EU militarily.
With big friends.
Latvia is 4th Reich?
The current govt is center-right and they have a very MAGA (or MEGA) immigration policy that you would approve of. They like Poland have had issues with EU overreach.
But of course, nothing matters to you other than the Putinist party line.
“But of course, nothing matters to you other than the Putinist party line.”
Of course, not withstanding, any viewpoint, opinion, etc. that runs counter to the prevailing pro-Ukrainian narrative is labeled and/or ascribed “the Putinist party line”.......
Anything new here?
Wrong. Putin is not all that matters to me. What matters most to me is a German led reich in Europe. As for Latvia, in gains being in Germany’s loving embrace for now and its’ independance is tolerated for now. But that won’t always be so. No more than it was in ww2
“With big friends.”
Big friends can be of benefit in a dust up fot sure. But can also get you involved in “stuff beyond your years” which you might regret later. As a personal anecdote, which, lol, probably has no bearing, I hung out with older, bigger guys as a young teenager. Sure, they got me out of some jams with some muscle, but they also led me astray a bit and I picked up some habits I later regretted ( cough cough the green stuff)
Apparently the EU is not happy with the “sanctions compliance” lately so they are upping their game...:-) I do believe we are going to see the “making an offer they can’t refuse” phase of “saving democracy”...:-) Do as we say or else we’ll make you sorry.
EU Considers Naming Sanctions Envoy (3 p.m.)
The European Union may name a senior official to serve as sanctions envoy to help the bloc counter efforts to circumvent its sanctions on Russia, said Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.
“Our experience is that it is very helpful to send this sanctions envoy, for example, to third countries to be very clear about what we observe,” she said.
In its most recent sanctions package, the bloc added a provision that authorizes sanctions on people and entities who send EU goods to Russia via third countries, an expansion of the EU’s reach that von der Leyen called “a very strong deterrent.”
❗️Latvia will become a completely deserted territory by 2050 - Swedish Karolinska Institute
As experts write, having studied the demographic situation in Latvia, one can confidently “come to the conclusion that with such rates of emigration and extinction, this territory will become completely deserted by 2050.”
🥸 Does anyone else doubt that the Soviet Baltic States, under the “reliable auspices” of the EU and NATO, is turning into the United Baltic extinctions ..?

UMCRevMom@aol.com,
WHen I see how hard you are fanning Deep State/Ukrainian propaganda, which is fanning the talk of nuclear war and trying to start WWIII, it reminds me to pray that you and your kind fail to provide cover for those planning harm, and that you know yourselves to be absolutely defeated.
You are a brainwashed Bolshevik providing cover for a murderous 22-year dictator who is making war against his own people as well as Ukrainians. Putin guides Russian social media and for years he has been guiding its enthusiasm for nuclear confrontation.
Amen.
Latvia still has an annual parade for its SS veterans. They show up in uniforms and it’s a big celebration. So consider the source.
