The sister of a slain West Philadelphia community leader said she is "fed up" with a "broken" system as she slammed the city's Democratic prosecutor for lax criminal justice policies that allowed a suspect in the case to have been freed from prison following a previous violent crime.
In September, Charles Gossett was gunned down in Overbrook, a prominent neighborhood near St. Joseph's University noted as the childhood home of actor Will Smith. His sister told "The Story" Friday their family and community is missing its leader. —— break ——- he suspect sought in Gossett's killing, Jamir Harris, was last seen traveling east on U.S. 30 from the area, as Fox News reported he is accused of driving two gunmen involved in the killing.
Harris had been released from prison after being exonerated in a previous case -- wherein prosecutors reportedly helped secure the overturning of a life-without-parole sentence in connection with a deadly shooting near Quartermaster Plaza in 2012.

We have no justice system. It’s everyone for themselves.
This is why vigilantism begins.
Useful idiots vote for democrat DAs, democrat DAs do not prosecute criminals, criminals murder democrats, other useful idiot democrats complain about democrat DAs.
Did I summarize all this correctly?
I’ve spent a decent amount of time around St. Joe’s.
It’s not bad compared to a lot of Philly.
I was born right around the way at Lankenau Hospital.
I have no sympathy for Democrats in Philadelphia or any other city. They keep repeating the same mistakes.
Pennsylvania needs a tough governor ready to fight crime Josh Shapiro the Democrat AG running for Gov. has fiddled while Philly has burned.
Send Doug Mastriano to Harrisburg as the next Governor of PA.
I was born and raised in Philly and it was a nice town back then, but that was many years ago. Now it’s going to hell, and quickly. Very sad. There are still a lot of good people there, and they’re suffering greatly.
When I was a kid, about 8 or 9 years old I lived in Folsom, Delco. It was no big deal for me and a group of friends to walk to Ridley Park to take a train to Suburban Station, and then the subway to Veterans Stadium to watch a Phillies day game. If I recall, kids seats were $0.50 in the outfield, maybe $0.75. It was more expensive to get to the game than get into the game. None of our parents thought twice about us doing that. The hard part was getting the money. I suppose it was pretty safe. It wasn’t something that I worried about.
I went to school in Philly. No way I would have chosen to go there today. Took the subway when I went. Alone. Unarmed. I shudder to think of anyone doing that now.
Now I only go there on an as needed basis, airport etc and I will always be armed.
It truly is a shithole of 3rd world proportions.
Yes.
Pennsylvania Ping!
Please ping me with articles of interest.
FReepmail me to be added to the list.
Yep.
Pubbies should consider initiating a Restore Our Cities campaign. Call out all the democrat hell holes.
Well swelll. What are you going to do about. It would a Bastille mob tearing down city to just get noticed. (This has happened. In 1884 huge crowds enraged over similar antics by the bench and DA in Cincinnati battled the Ohio National Guard and burned the Hamilton County Court House leaving only bare walls as the fire department was driven off as well.) Can you imagine the uproar if something like that happened today. Biden would declare national marshal law.
Philadelphia does not have free and fair elections and hasn’t for decades.
Twice in this post the autocorrect omitted words so the end product is meaningless garbled sentenceIs this also some sort of censorship software?. The correct full sentence two reads; What are you going to do about it, It would TAKE a Bastille mob tearing down CITY HALL to get noticed.
Has anyone else detected this interesting action by autocorrect? Is this some sort of censorship software?
