“One woman was arrested for four times over the car she legally rented”
Upon the first arrest she should have done what the cops advised the man in this report - do not continue to drive the car - make Hertz bring you another car. That’s what I would have done; not continue to drive what had been reported as a stolen, innocent or not.
Hindsight is 20/20. She didn’t know what to do. All she knew was she was innocent. Hertz is using the police for illegal arrests and nobody is holding the accountable.
Sometimes that isn’t possible and isn’t reasonable, either.
