But as far as her being fiscally responsible, that should be viewed as a good things. I don't understand why so-called conservatives now support unlimited spending.
Its precisely because she overrode Kwarteng on key aspects of the mini budget (and treated it as a mini budget when it clearly was a comprehensive rewrite) that she had to go.
Usually the Tories rat out on fiscal irresponsibility, uncosted spending plans, major reforms covered up as “tidying up exercises” / “instruments” instead of bills etc. All things that evidence the Labour Party beimg unfit to govern.
And Truss, in under 30 days, crashed tgd economy by doing all the same things that they had said made Corbyn unelectable.
And then she doubled down on tax cuts for everybody, BUT ESPECIALLY THE RICHEST CORPORATES AND THE TOP 5%.
No matter how bad the loony left spending plans are, they are expected to consult the Bank of England and the Office for Budget Responsibility to ensure they don’t have anything so revolutionary in the plans that it’ll force a run on the banks, send interest rates soaring etc.
There is literally not one thing Truss did right. Kwarteng pushed back and got overruled by her, then she sacked him ehen her plans crashed.
This isn’t an issue of her ideology beimg wrong, it’s simply that her execution of it was so hamfisted that even Jeremy Corbyn wouldn’t have messed it up that bad.
