When we lived in SoCal we’re were involved in the anti-abortion Women’s Resource Center. Every year they had a big charity ball with a celebrity being focused. One year it was John Schneider and his wife who attended. Another year it was Kirk Cameron and his wife.
Also, John Schneider had a very long interview at a conservative event. It was outdoors but I can’t recall who interviewed him. He’s very conservative.

No, “McCarthyism” was the pejorative Marxist name for truth-telling whistleblowers like McCarthy, who fought the Marxist infiltration of our government, education and media institutions.
They claimed that McCarthy’s UnAmerican Activities Committee was destroying innocent people’s lives with lies, and that it was an abuse of power.
In reality, McCarthy was right - his allegations were not lies.
“Reverse McCarthyism” is the opposite - when the Marxists are now the ones holding the Jan 6th type trials - persecuting innocent anti-communists for telling the truth. Except this time, it really is lies - and it really is an abuse of power.
It is the exact opposite - so “Reverse McCarthyism” is appropriate.
I’m waiting to hear what Roy Scheider has to say about all of this. ;)

I don’t know about that. Non-woke Republican actors like Jon Voight and Clint Eastwood are still making movies way past their 80’s and long after they’ve declared their political affiliations.
McCarthy was corrupt. He abused his power to stay in power.
Communism was the political thought that enabled him to abuse power more.
Today it’s the same thing. FBI has Corruption in their DNA. They are doing the same exact thing today that the media will embrace and back them on (just like when they were attacking socialist/communist thought).
It is nice to know that I’m not the only person who will be corrected a couple dozen times when Iake a mistake.

I guess I shouldn’t be surprised. As an aside I saw Heist on TV the other day, one he wrote and directed. Seen it a few times before but decided to watch it again. Been a fan of his work for a long time.

A number of the SNL members from the 90’s are right of center. I think Sandler is there but keeps his head low. Schnieder, Victoria Jackson is very right of center. David Spade, of course Dennis Miller. The band leader for those year G.E. Smith is conservative. I’m not sure about Norm McDonald, Phil Hartman and Chris Farley.
