Vladimir Putin has been accused of using 'deeply irresponsible' nuclear rhetoric Though Chief of the Defence Staff Tony Radakin said 'it is a sign of weakness'
Russian president Vladimir Putin has been criticised for 'deeply irresponsible' nuclear rhetoric, as fears grow that he may make a show of force using a nuke over the Black Sea.
Last month Putin said he was ready to use nuclear weapons if necessary to defend Russia's 'territorial integrity' and yesterday Russia said seized Ukrainian lands are under its nuclear protection.
The threatening statements are believed to have increased in frequency due to Putin having 'few options left' after weeks of humiliating losses to Ukraine on the battlefield.
Today, Chief of the Defence Staff Tony Radakin urged the international community to remain united against what he called Russian President Vladimir Putin's 'deeply irresponsible' nuclear rhetoric.
'He (Putin) has few options left. Hence, the nuclear rhetoric,' he said during a speech.
'And while this is worrying and deeply irresponsible, it is a sign of weakness, which is precisely why the international community needs to remain strong and united.'
Defence Secretary Ben Wallace flew to Washington on Tuesday for emergency talks with the Pentagon.
A third of Ukraine was left without power as the new head of Russia's armed forces Sergei Suvorikin, nicknamed 'General Armageddon', launched a series of missile and drone strikes.
Following the attack, Mr Wallace cancelled a meeting with MPs and travelled Washington DC to discuss 'security concerns'.
A security source told The Sun that 'the threat has increased recently'.
Junior defence minister James Heappey told Sky News that Mr Wallace was in Washington 'having the sort of conversations that - beyond belief, really - the fact that we're at a time when these sort of conversations are necessary'.

For years now Russian social media which is guided by the Kremlin has gloated about Russia’s ability to “win” a nuclear war. Of course, in February they were gloating about defeating Ukraine in a matter of days.
Put the crack pipe down.
Who first blah blah?
What is this, the 3rd grade or what?!
Who is continually spoon feeding the nuclear rhetoric NOW - it ain’t Putin and Russia. :duh:
You have no clue how many work.
Also 2000 nukes is a big problem…
Update on Russian military operations against Ukraine for October 19, 2022
- Russian missile and drone strikes continue for over a week, knocking out much of Ukraine's electric grid;
- Ukraine is wasting precious small arms ammunition in failed attempts to counter Russian Geran-2 drones;
- NATO claims it will send means to counter them - nothing of substance actually revealed;
- Russian forces continue to advance in Bakhmut, indicating Ukrainian forces are stretched too thin;
- Russian General Surovikin is focused on the defense of Kherson which is being evacuated;
- Fighting may reach the city, Russia has in the past withdrawn forces rather than have them destroyed or captured;
- Whatever gains Ukraine makes will be temporary - Kiev is trading its entire army for territory hoping for a political resolution in its favor ahead of a military resolution in Russia's;
“You are certainly doing your part on the “predictive programming” side.”
You almost got it right. The British Intelligence theory is, that by constantly publicizing and playing up Putin’s stupid nuke talk, that this handcuffs Putin from ever using them. This is the “predictive programming” that is going on.

The Government in Kiev is so desperate that they are begging Ukrainian citizens to rush to the streets with loaded rifles if they hear an approaching drone and try to shoot it down. The Ukrainians apparently do not understand the principle of gravity–i.e., a bullet shot into the air will return to earth with sufficient force to kill, maim and damage. If thousands of Ukrainian citizens heed this call, I suspect there will be a significant increase in gunshot wounds in the coming days.
Brandon is sending in a couple million hardhats.
Not a student of Russian military doctrine, I see
The notion that Putin is considering using nuclear weapons is a figment of the Daily Mail’s imagination.

Excellent!
We should launch today!
My personal take:
The continued talk and rhetoric of nuclear war in Ukraine by the West, the US, the UK is nothing more than confession through projection (the art of gaslighting).
It further allows for the West/US/UK/NATO to justify limited nuclear war and the pretext for such being or will be that Russia was just about to do it, Russia was going to do it.
Basically, it’s Dr. Stranglove time for these Russophobic suicidal psychopaths.
There is too much reckless chatter about nuclear war.
“Defence Secretary Ben Wallace flew to Washington on Tuesday for emergency talks with the Pentagon.”
This seems concerning .
Plus Putin supposedly had a super important pop up meeting from a undisclosed location.
My gosh Biden has made a mess of the world .
It’s so retarded. The idea that he’s going to blow one up over the black sea is completely invented in London and DC. He’s never said a word about blowing one up as a demonstration. He’s never even threatened to use them in Ukraine. He just reminded NATO countries that if they attack Russian forces, or if they attack inside Russia, that everything in their arsenal is on the table. That’s the whole thing. It’s so unless NATO are the BRITs or the Americans have a secret plan to attack inside Russia, there is no nuclear threat.
This BS wouldn’t be happening under Trump.
Washington, which is controlling this is to blame to a huge extent for this dangerous situation.
I think the Brits have a good idea on how to handcuff Putin from using nukes. Plus come on, Putin and his media stooges issue 90% of the nuke talk. Not the US and NATO.
Man, them Russians are smart!

Most nuclear devices use tritium, just like my once favorite watch.
Tritium has a ~12-year half-life, my watch WAS a beauty at night, but now not so bright.
Guessing that Russia has sufficient tritium but it is crazy expensive (?$30,000 per gram) and may have been requisitioned for other uses.
