On Tuesday night, Rep. Val Demings (D-FL) debated Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL), as she seeks to stop the incumbent senator from winning a third term. During her performance, she showed off her true colors as a radical and desperate candidate running in a state that's been turning increasingly red.
Rubio showed off his debate skills, especially early on, when the moderator referenced the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) and the resulting record-high inflation, which is particularly bad in Florida. The candidates were specifically asked what can be done to help Florida families.
"I think the first thing we've got to start doing is stop sending that kind of money," Rubio insisted about the trillions of dollars injected into the economy, "adding we already did two pandemic reliefs, this came on top of it." Pointing to Demings, Rubio mentioned "they were warned, Democrats were warned, by Larry Summers, by other Democratic economists, you do this, you're gonna fire up inflation."
The senator also spoke to the need of how "we've gotta to produce American oil again," pointing to how under the Biden administration we are producing a million barrels less and begging Saudi Arabia, Iran and Venezuela for oil. He was particularly critical of President Joe Biden depleting the Strategic Oil Reserves to critically low levels. "Our oil reserves do not exist to win midterms," Rubio pointed out. "They exist to help this country in an emergency or in the midst of a storm."

What? Someone running on “I’m Law and Order” had a gun stolen?
If you didn’t see it:
An internal-affairs investigator gave Orlando Police Chief Val Demings a “written censure” as punishment for not properly securing her gun in her car.
Someone broke into Demings’ Chevy Tahoe the night of Feb. 27(2009) and stole a duffel bag she had placed on the floor of the vehicle. The bag contained her agency-issued 9 mm Sig Sauer gun, ammunition, handcuffs and baton.
“Although the vehicle’s remote was used to lock the vehicle, the doors were not physically [checked] to ensure the locks [had] engaged,” internal-affairs manager Dwain L. Rivers wrote in the four-page report. “Chief Demings accepts full responsibility and does not wish to contest the sustained finding.”
Demings notified internal affairs and her supervisor, Mayor Buddy Dyer, after she had reported the weapon stolen, spokeswoman Sgt. Barbara Jones said.
She is toast. I classify her as in the same category as Keisha Lance Bottoms - former mayor of Atlanta. Slick in terms of presentation, but empty in terms of leadership and intellect. Adios to you Val Demings!
Aw, man. Do I have to click on the article to get to Val’s remarks, with the headline being about her? I’m tired. Excerpt better.
One word: “Biden is the (p)resident.”. But hopefully she gets “ cheneyed” in the vote count.
bkmk
she was also on an Impeachment Panel, IIRC.
Rubio is going to win...
Don’t be so sure. I work at Orange County department of health and one of the 90% diverse staff left stacks of her door hanger political ads in break room. I reported it to supervisor. If they’re not gone, I’ll report it again. If I were to do same, say with DeSantis political literature - well, you know reaction THAT would get. But they think, per usual, they can do anything
