US Congressman Mike Gallagher, a Republican member of the House Armed Services Committee, delivered a stark warning to American citizens yesterday in response to a new report by the Heritage Foundation that ranked the US Navy “very weak” in terms of capacity and under immense strain to maintain readiness.

How is DEI ranked in our Navy?
Not to mention that with the SPR emptied out, during a war the US Navy will have a hard time just fueling up their warships, while enemy subs are sinking tankers.
Once a few tankers are sunk, they will stay in port, and global petroleum/LNG shipments will stop.
Every nation that depends on seaborne fuel will be screwed.
$800 billion a year just doesn’t buy what it used to...

But we have a military genius as commander in chief. That could offset any other weaknesses.
Most folks don’t know that Gallagher is a very sharp guy.
He was the one who took on the Deep State by putting the Wilson/Davis memo in the Congressional Record.

The destruction of the American military began in earnest under Obama. Obama handed off the baton to Biden, and Biden is running with it. (Well, perhaps “running” and “Biden” in the same sentence paints a false picture: “Stumbling” would be more appropriate.)

Just for debate, is a blue water navy obsolete in the age of missile technology? It is great to project power against the third world, but is it against China?
That’s what happens when you by classes of combatants that are summarily decommissioned or useless because you also bought non-existant or umproven technology to go on them,then focus efforts to make the sailors feel better about BS and things that have NOTHING TO DO WITH REDINESS!

True. Apparently US Destroyers can no longer get out of the way of very large cargo ships. It’s hard to navigate when the female bridge crew isn’t talking to each other.
The USN is too concerned about being WOKE. Not your daddy’s navy.
I retired in 2010. it was on a downward spiral back then.
