Marjorie Taylor Greene is having her moment
CNN Politics ^ | 18 October 2022 | Chris Cillizza

As Republicans appear to have the momentum (again) in the fight for House control, Greene is growing more and more confident in her position within the party.

“I think that to be the best speaker of the House and to please the base, he’s going to give me a lot of power and a lot of leeway,” Greene told The New York Times Magazine’s Robert Draper of House Republican leader Kevin McCarthy. “And if he doesn’t, they’re going to be very unhappy about it.”

So Trump could have “interceded” while in the midst of his second “impeachment”? (That doesn’t take away from MTG’s attempts.)

Add Lauren Boebert to that list as well.

Okay all you social media snowflakes are against Real conservatives. But so far no one’s told me a single thing she’s done except for social media this and making somebody that mad that. Even AOC has more accomplishments under her belt. No one has been able to name me one thing she’s done that’s not social media attention.

You seem to forget that soon after she got to Congress, Marjorie Taylor Greene was removed from her committee assignments, following uproar over her so called past incendiary comments and apparent support of violence against Democrats.   It is difficult getting things done when your collogues will not let you.

Nowadays, you can say anything in the Well of Congress but anything you say as a candidate, in spite of the fact that your constituents elected you because of your speaking out for them, and you get effectively censure for it.

I grew up in her district and your attempt to put her down is a dirty rotten shame.   Your upholding AOC above MTG shows you're a Conservative in name only.

She kept an über rino from taking a seat in congress.

So, your premise is wrong.

So tell us, how many House committees is she on?
And what party controls The House and the US Senate?
Perhaps you can explain to us how a conservative Republican can get a bill passed in a far left controlled House of Representatives.

“My problem is what does she do to benefit any conservatives?”

What has any MAGA legislator been able to accomplish to benefit any conservatives recently? They’re powerless in RAT-controlled House and Senate.

She is doing a lot to draw attention to the evil in DC and elsewhere. I especially appreciate that she’s still fighting for the Jan. 6 POWs. Sorry you have a problem with that.

The Populists/Nationalists are winning the power struggle. The RINO Establishment is losing - and they know it. The RINO Establishment will still have the upper hand in the House and Senate over the next two years but their grip on power is considerably weakened. It will be weakened more if not completely overthrown in the 2024 primary season and election.

It was always going to take a few election cycles to push out enough RINOs and replace them with enough MAGA candidates to take effective control over the Republican party.

Add Paul Gosar and Lauren Boebert in the House.

The Establishment sure isn’t going to like the new crop coming in....Joe Kent, JD Vance, Blake Masters, etc

What is one lone Congressperson supposed to be able to accomplish on their own? She needs allies to work with.

What has any republican done? Nothing. They are the minority. I’m not sure what you think they can do

Can you name one thing Kevin McCarthy has done?

Apparently you would prefer a mouse in her place along with the other 100 or more mice we have now.

House Republican leader Kevin McCarthy

This is the problem.

Little will get done (and the little will be the wrong things) unless and until he is replaced.

I’ve been asking the electioneering callers working for Congressional candidates just who their candidate would vote into leadership of the House, should they win an be in a majority position....... I get lots of waffling and non-committal blather.
