I have a neighbor whose daughter was in college in NYC. The daughter was attacked on the street by a black guy and ended up with brain damage (still not quite right). The mother was very VERY proud of her daughter because (apparently) as they were loading the girl into an ambulance she yelled out — “Don’t arrest him! He didn’t have the same advantages that I had in life!”
I have no idea how true this is — but the mother told it to me as a true story. All smiles. We live in a rich MA town.
Well, it is obvious her daughter had brain damage based on what she yelled out.
The story could well be true, ‘Despite the horrific nature of the crime, her mother said she understood what happened to her daughter was a “social and systemic failure,” and that more needs to be done to help those living on the streets who are struggling with mental illness., This is another classic example of what James Burnham dubbed ‘the liberal death wish’
This mindset, which seems to be currently triumphant is described by Edward Freser as embracing:

This psychological unilateral disarmament has now deeply penetrated even solidly traditionalist areas. After Elijah DeWitt, a high school football star was murdered in Lawrence Georgia by what can only be described as depraved subhumans the community ‘came together’ as is now tiresomely repeated after every atrocity for, what else? A candlelight vigil for DeWitt was held on Sunday evening as nearly a hundred people gathered to honor the Jefferson High School student.
‘Definitely the worst day of my life,’ Dawn Erwitt, Elijah’s mom told Fox News. ‘His life just came completely to a screeching halt in seconds.’
However, the family offered the standard religio-psycho babble mush :
Despite losing their son, Dawn and her husband Craig have forgiven his alleged killers.
Forgiveness is for the forgiver,’ Craig told Fox news. ‘We don’t want the hate in this household.’
This sort of swill is now the common default in evangelical churches. Those who have read other posts of mine know I have zero use for what passes as organized religion today. Here is a classic example. Sub-human trash murders your son because, apparently, he took exception to his girl friend being called vilely sexual insults by the subturd. Oh that’s OK, we forgive the malfactor. That’s what preacher tells us we should do. The final self insult, the clueless mother utters this classic liberal bs bromide; ‘We don’t want the hate in this household.’ The liberal death wish is fully operative in what you may think is MAGA land. The people who will save us are not this soft white goood thinker types but ‘bad men’who would kill this boys killer in a heart beat and kick himin the face.
The biggest advantage I had in life was the skill to THINK & assess risk factors around me.
