LONDON, Oct 17 (Reuters) - The United States has said the world faces the gravest nuclear danger since the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis because of remarks by Russian leader Vladimir Putin during the Ukraine conflict, but Moscow says its position has been misinterpreted.

Kyiv and its Western allies fear tactical nuclear weapons could be used in battle after Putin and others warned Russia was prepared to use all its vast arsenal in defence.

Absolute madness. We are casually discussing the strategies of fighting and winning a nuclear war with the Russians. As soon as Russians and Americans are killing each other sans our Uke proxy, it’s game over. All of this over the happiness, at the expense of the Russian ethnic minority, of the nominal Uke ethnic majority in Donbas. Madness.

“Absolute madness. We are casually discussing the strategies of fighting and winning a nuclear war with the Russians”

So during the Cold War your strategy would have been give the Soviets whatever they want to avoid nuclear war?

“Better red than dead” was the slogan of commie fellow travellers back then.

Putin might be cold and calculating with nuclear weapons but is he senile and deranged like Biden?

So which country is in greater danger?

We wouldn’t be having this conversation if Putin’s hadn’t mentioned nukes in week 1, hadn’t had his sycophantic mouthpiece on Rossiya1 talking about taking it nuclear since mid-March, and Putin raising again in the last week.

What did President Trump say about Russia gobbing off constantly about the N word?

This is nothing new. We wouldn’t be talking about winning a nuclear firefight if Russians stopped banging on about starting one.

The “Soviets” (as you seem to infer that’s what they are today) are obviously not getting everything they want. What the “Soviets” would want (if that’s what they really were) would be the complete reestablishment of the Soviet Union. According to the “Daily Mailers” around here, they can barely hold on to a sliver of formerly Ukrainian territory.

Like watching two drunks wrestle while wearing suicide vests with the entire world sitting in the front row watching.

The Cold War is over, and Russia is dying demographically.

Europe’s problem. Some European countries have nukes as well.

You’d rather he said nothing but waited until the maniac warmongers in DC attacked the Russian annexed territories? Then no, we wouldn’t be talking about this because we’d most likely both be dead.

Same as for strategic. Only DC pretends that you can do battlefield nukes and it won’t go general. Only DC thinks you can have a conventional war between nuclear armed nations and it won’t end in an exchange. Because you knew someone will accept defeat and would never devastate your homeland in preference to defeat.
All of the nuke talk has come out of DC. All Putin did was warn DC and London against going force on force against the Russian military or territory because of the fact that things will obviously escalate. He reminded them that they have nukes. Nobody has discussed tactical nukes except DC. Makes you wonder if DC is planning to set one off like they did with “gas” in Syria.

We are doing this on behalf of globalism and using the direct descendants of the nazis. This isn’t 1960. Today we are the expanse atheist empire.

So just give Comrade Putin what he wants, and he'll go away, right?

So during the Cold War your strategy would have been give the Soviets whatever they want to avoid nuclear war?

Why should I, as an American, care if Russia wants Crimea or the Donbas? Is it worth nuclear war over?

Ike didn't think Hungary was worth a nuclear war in '56. LBJ didn't think Czechoslavakia was worth nuclear war in '68. And Reagan didn't think Poland or Afghanistan was worth nuclear war in the 80s. So there is historical precedent for limited military support of anti-Russian forces without escalating towards nuclear war.

Biden, on the other hand, wants to fight a full-blown proxy NATO war against Russia.

For what? Crimea and the Donbas?

Again, why should I care? Not my problem.

“Today we are the expanse atheist empire.”

There are a lot more atheists in Russia and China than there are in the USA.

I’m sure a tactical nuke won’t cause much fallout. Tyson degrass eater said so. A friend of mine wants me to ask what happens the to largest nuclear plant in Europe though.

Puti learned the lesson of Munich. Appeasing the expansionist national socialist empire doesn’t work. That your red lines have to be enforced by force. And that’s what he did. And now DC and globohomo is angry. They wanted to be appeased. The idiot Ukes were just their pawn force.

The principle that won the Cold War was containment. Rolling back communism was too risky, but we could win by blocking all attempts to expand communism.

It worked, and was a much better strategy than the appeasement game of the 1930s.

During the Cold War we didn’t try to build nato bases in Ukraine either. Seems a stretch to compare that to “whatever they want” in my mind.
