Jurors in the trial of Harvey Weinstein will be allowed to hear Gavin Newsom's wife emailed the movie magnate for advice about dealing with the media amid a scandal involving the California Governor two years after Weinstein allegedly raped and sexually assaulted her, a judge has ruled.
The judge granted narrow permission to the defense to introduce evidence of the message sent to Weinstein in 2007, when Newsom was mayor of San Francisco and dating Jennifer.
But Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Lisa B. Lench forbid the defense from discussing the underlying issue behind the email - the revelation of an affair Newsom had had in 2005 with an aide.
I could say something crude like sloppy seconds
Guess Harvey afterwards said “ you have a chit in the game”.....
I believe women. They commonly call their rapist to ask for relationship advice. I believe women. There is nothing unusual about this. I know a store owner who called a guy who robbed his store for advice on a new location. I believe women.
It does seem strange that a “rape victim” would contact her rapist a couple years after a rape to seek advice.
I’m going to propose a hypothetical scenario...
Aspiring young actress becomes acquainted with powerful Hollywood producer.
Said producer implies to said actress that he can facilitate a film career for her.
Film producer hits on actress, and they have sex.
Promised film career never materializes, but actress pivots and hooks up with an up-and-coming politician.
Actress eventually marries said politician and eventually becomes First Lady of California.
Film producer’s career implodes as multiple women, including several prominent actresses, accuse him of sexual harassment, abuse, rape and attempted rape.
Actress feels ashamed and embarrassed at having “put out” to a sleazy film producer in hopes of landing a movie career and, in a bit of revisionism, decides that she too must have been the victim of rape (rather than her own immoral deeds intended to secure fame as on actress) and jumps on the bandwagon of those accusing producer.
That’s so disgusting! Being with Gavin in the first place shows her stupidity, and this story just confirms it. Not what a sexual assault victim would do in any universe.
Interesting way of putting things.....
She disappeared during the Harvey trial.
If Jennifer is a “whore” Gavin is bigger one. The aide he had an affair with was the wife of his “best friend” Alex Tourk, his campaign manager.
He met her during his time at a treatment center for substance abuse.

Doesn’t change what she is or was.
First Newsom screwed some other guy’s wife. Then the whole state of California. Next he wants to screw the whole country.
Do we see a powermonger’s pattern here?
That sounds a lot more plausible to me than this woman conversing with and asking advice from a guy who raped her.

She says she did NOT sleep with Weinstein- Did he say they had sex? I am just asking ‘cause i don’t recall any stories about those 2.
That is a strange headline. Is it possible to rape someone and not sexually assault her?
