A former Russian president and key ally to President Vladimir Putin warned Israel against sending weapons to Ukraine.
Dmitry Medvedev, currently deputy chairman of the Security Council of Russia, on Monday said that Israel would destroy its relations with Russia if it sent weapons to Ukraine.

I don’t see why Israel has a bone in the Ukraine issue.
If they're gonna use their own words, they should figure out which ones to use.
Otherwise, they can go back to using the words we gave them, e.g. Kiev.

This has been super complicated in Israel.
Pretty much everyone supports the Ukraine BUT Russian immigrants (followed by the Ukraine) make up an easy plurality of newish Israelis. So almost every family has at least a cousin in Russia. Lots of families have relatives in both countries.
So we’ve been loathe to supply anything that might hurt someone’s family member.
That said, Russia is increasingly bombastic and threatening to Israel, which may piss people off enough to do something. The Mossad, in particular, has assets all over Russia and could really grind things to a halt.
I don’t see why ANYONE has a bone in the Ukraine issue.
One would think that Israel would want its toys, some of which are unmatched anywhere else in the world, to stay out of the hands of any other country, since once they are ‘out there’, Iran will be receiving them...and given Ukraine’s history of corruption, Israel might as well save the trouble, and just hand copies to Iran, while they’re at it.

Russia has removed some or all of its air defense systems from Syria. This probably plays into Israel’s decision to send aid to Ukraine. Russia’s presence around the entire world is seriously reduced as they used the Wagner group all around South America and Africa. The entire world will be safer for decades to come.
I get that, and I have been grateful that the post Soviet relations, cooperation and trust between Israel and Russia have grown to the good so much.
I'm not much impressed by the Liberals in Israel, as opposed to Netanyahu who will act in Israel's interest.

That’s a reasonable deduction, Israel has some pretty good weapons developed by themselves, that they can delay countermeasure research by keeping them close to the vest, so to speak.
I bet the 3-4 Su-34s Russia has in Syria have (or will) go home shortly.
They’re down 15 as of today, which is probably most of its fleet. They only had about 30 of the 34M operational. Assume a 50% flight readiness status, and things are getting thin there.
Such a waste. Putin is an idiot. Russia only real enemies are China and Muslim hordes.
