My co-workers in San Diego did lots of testing in Nevada. By the time I joined them in 1991, most of the work transitioned to modeling on a Cray. Some of the models ran just as fast on an HP PA UNIX workstation, so we saved some money on the Cray account. The models were within 1% of measured, so less trouble than setting up devices and sensors.
