Oops, yeah, conflating Diabetes Type 1 and Diabetes Type 2 is common.
Live and learn? Hopefully. Everyone can and should.
Per the CDC, over 90% of diabetics are Type II.
I know quite a few.
None of them got that way eating a healthy diet.
If you are talking about insulin prices and patients who are impacted by them then yeah, know something about them might be nice.

Walker is acting like a dolt here. Ok. I’m not arguing his point at all. In fact it begs the question can’t we get some good people to run for office?
I deal with a lot of sick people. At least 80% are diabetic. I’ve seen maybe three cases of diabetes I in the past few years I don’t consider them part of the argument.
Type I diabetics die without insulin regardless of diet, whereas Type IIs can in theory diet away any need for extra insulin. But the burden of the cost on the former could be improved by better eating by the more numerous and presently growing bodies of the latter. Reduce the insulin demand from Type IIs and the supply/demand curves would cross at a cheaper price point for the Type Is. So Walker is indirectly correct.
