He's not right. If you have type 1 diabetes, you need insulin. If you have type 2 diabetes, which responds to diet and exercise, you probably don't need insulin.
With the name “Adonis,” we couldn’t expect anything more shallow and uninsightful than your asinine post.
That’s amazing. I wasn’t aware that Type I could be managed this way.
Were you diagnosed as Type I, which I understand to be an autoimmune disorder, or insulin dependent?
Because Americans are the fattest, most unhealthy people on the planet. Blacks are the worst - black females - 40% are morbidly obese
But he was also one of the nicest guys on campus. Would talk to anyone.
There are several prescription drugs that run sugar levels way up there.
My sis was type 2 but she and her hubby went to a plant based diet and lowered all her numbers to to a normal range
I can’t eat the crap they do, but their weight and health improved considerably
They both like some meat and seafood on occasion, but stick pretty much on that diet.
It is a spectacle. But it's part of what makes the US what it is.
It is funny how on election night barely after the results are in the pundits are talking about the next election.
Kinda like sports. The winner is decided and then next day the very early predictions for next year are already out.
You are exactly right. Price controls NEVER work. Well, maybe for a few months before an election…
He’s right in 95% plus of the modern diabetes. Most of it is food induced.
But his bigger point was the economy under biden and warlock are making everything more expensive. That's the issue. Not the price of insulin.
Even Freepers can be brittle snowflakes if somebody brushes their feels. We see here an example.
In most cases of type II diet and exercise are effective in glucose management. Herschel is right on this.
We do know of some who are type I and that is a deal. We can safely assume he’s not referring to them.
Very true. When I walk around Walmart I am always amazed at how fat most seem to be.
.
Thank you.
I try my best!
“Although in my ignorance, I only know what I have observed.”
Type one diabetes is a autoimmune disease where the cells in the pancreas that produce insulin are destroyed. Normally has an onset when people are young.
Not known yet what causes it, but diet has zero causation.
Type two diabetes is the one that poor diet and health can cause, it occurs in adults normally.
What Walker said was wrong on a political level. Hes running in a tough race. His opponents- the media- will go nuts with this.
He should not be talking about the treatment of diabetes as a household economic issue
That said, Americans depend on medical treatment instead of and in place of diet and exercise. The medical industry depends on sick people for revenue. Walker cannot fix that and certainly not in the next week while people are finalizing their decisions
I don’t disagree with your point. There is a huge difference between I and II.
However in terms of Type 2….he is correct. If more people took better care of themselves there would be a huge surplus of insulin production capacity. The price would drop, healthcare costs would drop, productivity would improve and people would live better and longer.
But, fat shaming is bad.
The point is that Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes are two totally different diseases. Type 1 is a birth abnormality that leaves the body unable to produce insulin. That has nothing to do with diet and exercise.
The only way he’ll be in the Senate is as part of a tour group.
