Russia has lost 60% of its raw oil shipping market in Europe after launching a full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

In the next two months, the market for Russia will almost completely disappear, and new sanctions will make it difficult to redirect flows to other directions, Bloomberg reports.

Russian oil supplies to Europe averaged 630,000 barrels a day a month ago, down from 1.62 million before the full-scale war began....

The rate of sea exports of Russian oil at 604,000 barrels per day is the lowest rate for the year. Flows fell by 56,000 barrels per day, or 8%, compared to the period through September 30. These figures do not include deliveries to Turkey.

The eighth package of sanctions adopted by the EU in response to Russia’s annexation of part of Ukraine includes a ban on the transportation of Russian raw oil anywhere in the world by EU tankers. Also, from December 5, the decision to limit the price of oil from Russian Federation comes into force. Buyers of Russian oil will be able to use European ships, insurance and other services if the price they pay is below a certain “threshold”....

Russia currently losing $10 billion per week from lost gas sales

and after Dec. 5th, Russian oil will be cut off from Europe ... that's another $1 billion per week that will be lost

gonna be an expensive winter for Russia, if it doesn't leave Ukraine

Russia has plenty of oil and natural gas and it citizens will stay warm this winter and have plenty of food to eat.

Western Europe is already into a massive economic crisis of its own making by rejecting Russian resources its citizens desperately need. They are the ones already hurting badly and having to chop down trees for firewood.

The Russians, not surviving in winter. Did you just actually type this stupidity? So what were the Russians doing in the winters for the past 500 years? It’s like asking how will the eskimos survive in winter.

“The eighth package of sanctions adopted by the EU in response to Russia’s annexation”

The eighth time is a charm?

America is hurting economically and it is sure to get worse. Our government is purposely destroying its own economy. I’m much more concerned about that.

China and India accounted for 45.2% of Russia’s oil exports - that’s not counting the Asian market S. America Africa and other nations.

Natural Gas is flared for a number of reasons.

1. pipeline to capture the NG is not extended to where the well is. (small production wells might never pay to extend the pipeline.)

2. the NG might contain hydrogen sulfide gas, which is lethal and it settles not rises in the atmosphere.

note:

I don’t have any interest in taking sides between totalitarian Russia and the global fascist Zelensky Regime. Both are very bad choices and it is not in the interest of the USA to be cheerleaders for either of them.

Totalitarianism in all forms is EVIL!

Rus are flaring off all that natural gas that would have been sold to Europe, to relive pressure of the downstream pipes, valves infrastructure. The gas is streaming out of the ground and has to go somewhere. Or some of the gaz infrastructure will come apart.
