There are two different issues built into your question. The first is whether we provide material and financial support to either side. The second is whether or not we hope that Russia is defeated in its efforts to conquer Ukraine, regardless of whether or not we are willing to assist Ukraine in that defense.
There are a number of posters who not only oppose aid to Ukraine, but also openly root for Russian success, ridicule any claimed Ukrainian successes, and cheer for success by Russia and Putin. They are all over a bunch of threads.
So while there certainly are people who don't want to support Ukraine but aren't rooting for Russia, the other crowd that is openly rooting for Russia seems to predominate here. And I think that is why they are getting lumped together.

That’s false framing on your part. What is happening instead is that some FReepers are openly labeling those who support Ukraine’s right to independence and sovereignty as Nazis or supporters of Nazis. You’re doing what those FReepers always seem to do now - you’re falsely framing what is happening. It’s intellectual dishonesty.

Great. Then you should be condemning those FReepers who write as if all supporters of Ukraine’s freedom are some how Nazis or supporters of Nazis. Be fair. Be intellectually honest.
