Trump responded on Friday to a promised subpoena from the House committee investigating the Jan. 6 assault with a lengthy, rambling letter that attacked the panel’s work, reiterated false claims of widespread voting fraud and presaged a potentially bruising battle over whether he would be compelled to testify about his role in the riot and his efforts to subvert the 2020 election.
In a 14-page missive that did not address whether he would comply with the subpoena, Mr. Trump perpetuated the same lies that had fueled the attack and boasted about the size of the crowd that amassed to hear him speak before marching to the Capitol and staging a violent siege.
The former president has indicated privately to aides that he would be willing to testify to the House panel but would like to do so live, according to a person close to him, a prospect that would prevent video of him from being clipped or edited in a manner he dislikes. The letter he released on Friday — a conspiracy theory-filled rehash of his many grievances and false assertions — underscored the risks for the committee of giving Mr. Trump an unfettered public platform.

Trump would repeat his claims, the committee would repeat their claims, and in the end nothing would be done.

Do they have any evidence these discrepancies have been found to be false? Like any at all. Trump stated he will testify but he wants it live and in prime time. You really think they want Trump on National Television?
I LOVED that letter of Trumps! If the Stalinist committee calls him to testify and they are stupid enough to televise it, they are toast. I’m betting they won’t after reading that letter, that’s if they even did.

The entire time he’s been in politics, I don’t think he’s ever been wrong about one prediction or claim. Remember all the hell he got when he first claimed the Obama administration was spying on him? “Oh Trumps a clown, he’s delusional!” Uh, he was 100% right.
These are domestic enemies of the USA that are hellbent on destroying this country, and God bless Trump because God knows what the hell they would be getting away with right now under a President Hillary. Learning Mandarin would probably be required for all US citizens.

Pretty heavy words saying its a “lie” from what should be an unbiased media. How do they know it’s a lie. I thought journalism is about investigating?
