US Sen. Patrick Leahy of Vermont was hospitalized Thursday after he felt unwell at his McLean, Virginia, home, his office said.
As a precaution, the 82-year-old Democrat was taken to a Washington-area hospital for tests. At the recommendation of his doctors, he was expected to remain in the hospital overnight for observation.
Leahy, the longest-serving sitting senator, is not seeking re-election in November.
By the time his term expires in January 2023, Leahy will have served for 48 years in the Senate.
In June, he fell and broke his hip. At the time, his staff said he was expected to make a full recovery. In July, he underwent a second surgery on his hip.
Leahy has been making a number of public appearances

Interesting local sit-rep. Thanks.
40 years too long.
Just another example of we need TERM LIMITS!!!
Have they booked the rotunda yet?
2022 just may be the year of swamp cleansing by death and mishap.
************
Real swamp cleansing would require some semblance of ACCOUNTABILITY in DC but that’s never going to happen. The government keeps growing relentlessly, and the bigger it gets the more opportunities there are for corruption and graft. They protect the system that nourishes them. Notice how they all get wealthy in “government service”.
Oh gosh. That’s too bad.
82. Why do we have these old guys who should be in rest homes running the country???
The answer is that our k-12 public schools indoctrinate these little socialists.
I’m not feeling too hot after he voted to slap a 20% tax on my home heating. Tough sh!t.
Because Deep State prefers it that way.
Leaky Leahy— who was permanently banned from any position requiring security clearance— caught red handed.
Is he taking his last leaks from orifice to orifice. Not to mention he is more of a gibbering idiot than JoeBama.. unintelligible. See: Kavanaugh hearing.

i.ibb.co normally uses encryption to protect your information. When Brave tried to connect to i.ibb.co this time, the website sent back unusual and incorrect credentials. This may happen when an attacker is trying to pretend to be i.ibb.co, or a Wi-Fi sign-in screen has interrupted the connection. Your information is still secure because Brave stopped the connection before any data was exchanged.
You cannot visit i.ibb.co right now because the website uses HSTS. Network errors and attacks are usually temporary, so this page will probably work later.
The whole US Government is like the Soviet Politburo before the end.
Ancient and out of touch.
Most of the dim leadership is unwell.
Well, mentally and spiritually, anyhow.
Delusional....................
Two hip surgeries on the same hip? He’s done.
At his age a fractured hip is one of the leading causes of rapid decline. Not to worry though, after his retirement in January his younger clone Peter Welch will assume Leahy’s position of grift for the next 30 years.
Leaky Leahy- banned from any future national security intel committee or aligned— because of his constant running mouth of secret intel. Taking his last from every orifice leak— hopefully.
Not running for re-elect, imagine. So instead the Dem Sen. candidate is Peter Welch— on the House Intel committee run by ...Adam Schiffty.
The Republican Senate candidate is West Point grad, Malloy- highly competent and an executive capability not seen in Vermont in decades.
The other Sen... of course Bernie Sanders the Communist- pals of Ben and Jerry’s ice cream and oddly neo-socialists who want to keep their guns. Oh that and dairy farmers— who support Malloy for economic reasons alone.
Who'd'a thunk Tulsi Gabbard would leave the democrat party (though she voted as much R as D), publicly announce it and in 48 hours become a Presidential candidate ?
Trump/Taylor Greene . . . Trump/Gabbard
“In June, he fell and broke his hip. At the time, his staff said he was expected to make a full recovery. In July, he underwent a second surgery on his hip.”
When older people break their hip they’re usually dead within a year for some reason.
I’ve said it before, but if anything is to change, it’s going to take a wide coalition of people with differing political opinions, who agree on the important things. Much like the Solidarity movement in Poland in the 80s.
