Most climate activists would never support that spray-from-balloons scheme even if it was sure that it works because it would be simple and only cost pennies, but they demand the remaking of the whole society.

Yes! I don’t understand the logic of these idiots. “The earth is getting hotter” Well would they prefer it getting colder? Last time I checked not a lot of plants grow in the Antarctic and I’m sure they would want a lot of food since they made the USA a sanctuary country.

Oh sure, that’ll cost loads of money, money they can once again graft and loot. These asses are unbelievable and they really need to be stopped. If they’re allowed to keep stealing elections then this nation is doomed.

Easiest way would be to take all of those taxpayer’s dollars and launch them into low earth orbit. There’d be a band of greenbacks circling the planet Earth, providing needed shade. /s

Some of the techniques, such as spraying sulfur dioxide into the atmosphere, are known to have harmful effects on the environment and human health. The EPA is trying to limit SO2 in the air. Per the EPA: “The largest source of SO2 in the atmosphere is the burning of fossil fuels by power plants and other industrial facilities.” Why don’t we cut out the expensive middleman and fire up the coal burners?
The last sentence makes sense to everybody.
How much is this gonna cost in today's dollars. Probably we will never know this.
There was a good senator from the State of Illinois that use to say a billion for this program and a billion for this other program and pretty soon we got real billions of dollars on wasted projects.
I wonder if ole McConnell ever reads the comments on Free Republic.

Limiting CO2 and sunlight - plants hardest hit. You are correct sir. They are douche bags.

Stratospheric aerosol injection involves spraying an aerosol like sulfur dioxide into the stratosphere, and because it has the potential to affect the entire globe, often gets the most attention. I guess they forgot about the acid rain hysteria of the 1980s...

Also per the EPA:
“Acid rain results when sulfur dioxide (SO2) and nitrogen oxides (NOX) are emitted into the atmosphere and transported by wind and air currents. The SO2 and NOX react with water, oxygen and other chemicals to form sulfuric and nitric acids. These then mix with water and other materials before falling to the ground.”
What’s their plan for this side effect? It’s not a bug, it’s a feature.
