Nearly eight pounds of fentanyl was seized in San Francisco by officers during an arrest of a suspected drug dealer.
The bust and arrest of the suspected dealer happened October 8 at approximately 1:30 a.m. in the city’s Tenderloin District at the corner of Golden Gate Avenue and Larkin Street.

The DA’s office estimated the amount of fentanyl seized is enough to kill more than 1.5 million people, or enough to kill the population of San Francisco two times over.
But we have to protect the BIPOC community
If we would just legalize all drugs all this would go away. /sarc
?? We arrested a drug dealer?
If drugs were legal, fentanyl probably would never have been developed.
“nearly 8 lbs.”
Doesn’t this fall under “personal use” statutes? After all...this is California..
Mexican cartels are making billions - and guys like this when caught should be quickly prosecuted then as quick shot. I have no problem with the death penalty for drug pushers.
Fentanyl wasn’t developed because other drugs were illegal, fentanyl is used because it’s cheap, bigger profit margin. Drug dealers want maximum profit, drug users want the cheapest high.
Utter BS.
Fentanyl would have been developed much quicker and probably many other much stronger drugs as well.
Appetites for this stuff would demand it.
he should smuggle tenderloins instead- though the left woudl probably impose larger sentences for that
Fentanyl was developed as a prescription painkiller/ anesthetic in 1960.
Treat as an example, this drug dealer needs to be put down
I think both of you are wrong fentanyl was developed because it’s an excellent painkiller and in reality the euphoria component is not nearly as good as heroin or Percocets and I’ve had well two of those recently
Fentanyl is cheap for junkies I am told $20 a day you can stay high
you can certainly not do that with pain pills or heroin
Fentanyl is like super dilaudid with less buzz
The holy grail is a good painkiller that does not get you high which kind of sounds like an oxymoron honestly
“If drugs were legal, fentanyl probably would never have been developed.”
If drugs were legal, fentanyl probably would have been developed sooner.
Shot, THEN prosecuted.
Isn’t that what caused Michael Jackson’s death???
I don’t remember what he OD’d on. Stuff. And plenty of it.
When I had a kidney biopsy back in 2015 one of the drugs I was given was fentanyl.
When they gave me that shot every ache and pain in my body washed away like magic, but I didn’t notice any euphoria at all.
It’s a mystery to me why people would seek it out except for pain relief, unless my experience with it is atypical.
propofol
