One thing that has concerned me…and I’ve never seen anything about it so hopefully it doesn’t exist…is whether some US servicemen may have brought the “cultural custom” back with them. This is especially true since the US stopped opposing the practice and let the Afghanis go back to their boy rape parties because, you know, cultural customs.
One of the reasons that so many Vietnam vets had problems with drugs after their return was because of their tolerated use in Vietnam, not only among the people but within the US military. This includes not only weed, which was actually milder then but still created dependency, but things like hash (stronger marijuana tar) and even opioids.
Maybe the US tolerance of this Afghani “practice” is one of the things behind demands for the lowering of the age of consent, the regarding of pedophilia as just another thing, etc.
