Yes, one of those factoids not well known: Cows (critters) like to be fed and milked on a regular schedule. So while the rest of the country plays around with opening and closing time the livestock people just carry on.

We could try foregoing daylight savings time one summer and see how people like not being able to cut their grass on a week night so their weekend is free for a camping trip. Or being able to take a walk after the kitchen has been cleaned up.
I think most people really enjoy those summer evenings when the sun doesn’t set until 9. They just don’t like the nuisance of resetting the clocks.
